We just had our DS2 door station installed and so far it's been an underwhelming product but I want to see if the forum can help me answer some questions. It seems to me compared to the Chime, the DS2 is far behind in features. - DS2 only pushes a notification messages to my phone - No recording at all via motion detect or bell press (It's hooked up to my NVR but it's a pain in the butt to have to load the NVR app to see what was triggered) My dealer says that C4 is going to come up with a solution for this soon but not entirely sure when. South Africa C4 user Posted February 20, 2021 Share Posted February 20, 2021 I am already getting the recordings on motion / bell push for my DS2 in the C4 app. Have been for a few months. Reading other posts, I think that the issue some people are experiencing relates to the controller you use as the Director and if you are on an older controller (HC800) it does not work. I heave the history agent working perfectly for my DS2s and it shows a still (not a video clip) on motion and on doorbell press. Really great feature. Buffalo Mike Posted March 7, 2021 Share Posted March 7, 2021 does anyone know whether you can adjust the motion sensors without having the installer do it. i had to replace my DS2 and upgraded to OS3.2.1. However, these days you have to change the credentials on first use when you install the driver, so it's probably not set to the defaults. Your dealer should be able to give them to you.
