So if people are 'attacking' you for being negative - then it's because you're being primarily negative. I don't even remember the last thread I started and my comments again are what they are. There are dozens very qualified people such as yourself able to help about regularly so I certainly don't feel the need to add repeated commentary on every normal topic. I don't "feel attacked". Control4 is still part of my professional life. I still own a system in my home. Im not a dropped dealer or troubled customer. I dont have emotional baggage. A lot of Control4 have limited large scale system experience and majority of dealers dont have tenured experience with the other leading systems. Most end users have only experienced a single system or 2 and that experienced is limited to what their personal needs and budget are... so I'll keep commenting on absolute statements about what Control4 can and cant do compared to competition. Yep and Control4 thrived on being the best solution hands down. A unique uniform design 1- app solution that doubled as a smart home or and universal remote that was a necessary in the world of URC/RTI menu layers and RF blasters. Crestron was always for the elite and commercial. Savant was released to be the best of both worlds but technology was not advanced and as expected/adopted by consumers. Fast forward 15 years and C4 has done little to change in a VERY different world. A lot of tech features are assumed with an expensive "superior" system and compared with bottom dollar IoT products that offer them for free. Features Control4 does not offer natively. Why even need 4site subsciptions when a $25 camera from the hardware store allows free short term recording and remote access. They have gone from the premier residential option to maybe 3rd or 4th with Crestron, Savant and JoshAI. I have multiple systems so I am able to support my clients correctly and also understand and really compare between pro and even cloud bases options. I also like to see how much I can make them work together. The points I being up about what Savant can do that Control4 cant are reasons why I switched. Reasons why new systems I install are all Savant unless requested. If I am going to sell an expensive professionally managed system I want it to not only look as amazing as the Savant app/remote has become and the user features it provides, but also have the capabilities of expectations that may follow. WiFi lighting, RBG lighting, native color wheels and circadian modes all adjusted by the user, system/sleep/scene timers, audio zone EQ settings, user management, custom user apps, whole home views, Ring integration, HomeKit integration, voice remotes, AVB audio networks, WiSA audio systems with built in controllers, OLED lighting keypads etc... it would be a long list which is why I am specific to certain posts.
