  1. Shairbridge is a reverse engineered software duplicate of Airplay 1. It will never support Airplay 2.
  2. Here is Stage 1 in the process of getting your IP cameras to display anywhere: Our new CameraBridge tool is now ready in beta. This tool is a simple, fast, and secure proxy engine for your cameras. It runs on any Raspberry PI or linux PCs. FREE for all of our SplashTiles Pro subscribers. Simple setup. Don't need to learn about proxies & such. Just spin up a PI and install our package. Will replace old basic & digest authentication with token authentication ====> compatible with every browser & webview Makes your digest auth MJPEG streams work in any browser or our tiles (important for HIK cameras!) Optional HTTPS encryption with token auth. Modern security if you want to view your cameras outside your home. Full details => https://splash-tiles.com/help/camerabridge.php The longer term reason for CameraBridge is to support native overlay on Samsung & possibly LG tvs. CameraBridge will serve up your cameras in a format suitable for the rather limited programming available on those platforms. If you have HIK cameras, please test this We want to get these working perfectly with SplashTiles.
  3. You could use a ONVIF browser on your phone to find the "Snapshot URL" of the Chime camera. Here is an example for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.biyee.onvifer&hl=en_US&gl=US Then you can use that URL with Splashtiles to display as overlay or PIP.
  4. Driver docs don't have any URL info. Onvif would be great but I don't have access to the actual hardware (so I can query the URLs)
  5. Question for someone with the Chime doorbell: Does the network / html page list the URLS for any of the following: JPEG image capture MJPEG stream RTSP stream Trying to help a customer integrate this with SplashTiles and/or NetPlay. Just need the above to get it going (hopefully)
  6. You can also use our IRUSB driver to control FireStick. It is fast IP control for any Amazon device, but you do need to purchase the hardware for it ~$40. https://www.video-storm.com/proddetail.php?prod=IRUSB Full free C4 driver. Or you could wait...... Depends on your threshold
  7. Yeah, you could do that. In our case you would just use the commands on our NetPlay Cloud driver to load the screen you want (SplashTiles is fully controllable via our driver). Android screen saver would be a less work though if it supports it. Try the ADB method we describe in our documentation link (prior post). Do the C4 touchscreen have a default screen saver?
  8. You're welcome. The new version doesn't really change the response time though That only depends on what your Fire device is doing in the background. Whenever it is dreaming up new recommendations to sell you on Amazon it tends to slow down With the latest driver, app, and device firmware you do get "long" press support though. That will work by default on the arrow keys.
  9. What is the current status of Nest in C4? Integrating their cams in SplashTiles is next up in our dev backlog. Why is their API so hard to work with? Would be nice to learn from the past attempts.....
  10. SplashTiles app (Android) has Screen saver mode built in. You can select any of your custom designed "screens" as your screen saver. This mode is implemented using the standard Android API. As such, it is directly selectable as a screen saver in settings once you install our app. Some platforms (Amazon Firetv for example), don't give you any options in the settings menu. However, you can still use ADB to put our screen saver in place and it works perfectly. So it "should" work on the c4 panel, but I don't have one to test it. The app is free, so download it and try. Please let us know if it works https://splash-tiles.com/help/screensaver.php
  11. JPEG @ 5 fps or MJPEG @ ~10fps => SplashTiles (splash-tiles.com) RTSP 4Kp60 (or lower) => NetPlay (video-storm.com) Both will work perfectly on Shield Pro. They can display as full screen (single, tiled, or mixed display), as a configurable PIP window, or as transparent "floating" overlay. Completely integrated with C4. SplashTiles can give you a lot more than just camera feeds, so it can be a bit confusing to get started. There are video tutorials on the site, and we also have dedicated C4 setup instructions. The C4 drivers are free as well. You can always reach out to us for help if you need it. BTW, we have a new toy available for beta testing which will help with those Hikvision cameras ====> CameraBridge It solves the issue with digest Auth MJPEG streams.
  12. That can be caused by a timing issue (C4 launches the app, then turns on the TV). Are you using the latest IRUSB driver from our web site (3.6 I think)?
  13. I know you looking for the best way to navigate your video library INSIDE the C4 gui..... However, my suggestion would be to instead just use the Plex or Kodi mini drivers in C4 and then use the on screen APP (Plex / Kodi) interface to select your media. Unlike Music, you are actually going to be watching the TV screen when you select a movie. So IMO there is no sense in trying to find the right media on the small screen of your remote. Also, the Plex or Kodi interfaces for browsing your (often huge) libraries are WAY better than C4s. Anyway, my opinion on this was formed a few years ago so maybe things have changed. I would be interested in learning if they have.....
  14. http://www.video-storm.com/Downloads/irusb_faq.htm At the bottom are the instructions on how to get the QLAUNCH commands for any app. You can then use that create a custom minidriver (using https://www.video-storm.com/Downloads/irusb_minidrivers.zip or other sources)
  15. Our SplashTiles tool (splash-tiles.com) offers full HTTP GET api for your C4 system (when paired with our NetPlay Cloud driver). This is secure cloud based control, so works from anywhere. Both SplashTiles and our C4 driver are free. If you do use it a lot, we recommending upgrading to the $25/yr plan.
  16. NVidia Shield Pro is an excellent option (the best IMO). C4 has native driver for it now as well (with the mini drivers).
  17. My original solution to the garage door problem was just a trigger if the thermostat in the garage was more than 4 degrees off target. Not specific to the door, but it always triggered if the door was left open for more than a few min. Plus it was super easy to implement.
  18. Apparently I'm not the only person who has an issue with leaving the garage door open This exact scenario is in our C4 notifications demo video
  19. By far, the most common reason your equipment gets electrically damaged is multiple earth grounds. Your home / building should have a SINGLE earth ground, located where service enters the building or the main electrical panel. The "ground" wire in your home should be connected to actual earth ground only at that point. Unfortunately, building often have other earth grounds. Usually this is extra ground stakes (sat dishes, cable feeds, etc) or the ground wire physically connected to metal building frames or water piping. If you do have the dreaded multi earth grounds, you will suffer damage from strikes anywhere near your property. The current travels through the ground water and will take a "shortcut" through your house because of the multi ground contacts.
  20. Just need to wait for it to get through the Amazon review process. Should be ready in a few days.
  21. The manufacturer is Zidoo. Outside the USA you might find better ways than Amazon to purchase. https://www.zidoo.tv/Product/index/model/Z9X/target/VEMg6VRC2%2B9KKmVViAFMcQ%3D%3D.html
  22. NetplayTV 4.0 has just been released. Here are the highlights: Fully Universal overlay PIP or transparently overlay any NetPlay source over whatever is playing Any other App (Netflix, Prime, etc) or Home screen Any source connected via a local HDMI port Configurable size, position, transparency, and more Start & Stop PIP is non disruptive to your main program Support for local HDMI inputs OTT (over the top) box support with new Z9X decoders Full support for Android and Fire OS TVs with HDMI inputs Overlay and PIP anything over your local HDMI signals Redesigned User Interface Improved contrast and transparency for maximum usability Local UI is now fully synchronized with remote control APIs Easy selection of Audio in Tiled mode This is a FREE upgrade to all NetPlayTV customers. From a hardware perspective, this enables the newest OTT boxes (Over the top, meaning they have HDMI inputs and NetPlay can directly display over the HDMI input). The one we recommend which supports 4Kp60 HDMI input to output is Z9X https://www.amazon.com/Zidoo-Player-Android-Quality-Engine/dp/B08M3JSWZX/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3VFHUIP0NF3CR&dchild=1&keywords=z9x+zidoo&qid=1619012727&sprefix=z9x%2Caps%2C237&sr=8-2
  23. Absolutely! SplashTiles can be used standalone ($25/year for 5 devices) or as part of a NetPlay video distribution system. We view it as different tiers based on what you need. This doc is a little outdated (things are even better & cheaper now), but shows the ideas https://video-storm.com/Downloads/why_netplay_c4.pdf
