Sometimes taking the battery out and putting it back in temporarily fixes it. I cannot comment on what magnolia did but they are not usually known for their ability to do anything impressive.

@JL7678 There's a chance your remote battery is still good and the remote needs a patch update. What os is your controller on? Otherwise, a new battery can be purchased separately through a dealer.

Your dealer could have possibly changed the ip to a different static address (or dhcp reservation). Unless you know what you're doing, I would discourage playing with the settings as it's easy to break the DS2 integration after it's been set up.

The C4 zwave driver is for supported devices that only work with the Control4 zwave dongle/module. There is a small list mentioned in this forum several times. The Zwave MiCasa Verde C4 drivers are for communicating with the devices set up in the Vera. Set up the devices in the vera first (pair them). 90% of the work is done there (not including physical install). Have your dealer add the Vera Zwave controller driver first and then add the other appropriate Zwave Mi Casa verde C4 drivers for each device in the vera. Add more zwave mi casa drivers as needed. Read the instructions in the doc tab. You'll see that full instructions are in the dealer portal. Support your dealer/remote dealer if this integration really matters to you or log into the dealer portal if you're a dealer. You're doing most of the work so you're going to save some cashola.

Vera has nothing to do with control4's zwave mesh (if there is one using the c4 zwave dongle). I'm not all that sure you could use both successfully without interference issues. Think of it as two completely different systems. Control4 can communicate with the vera and it's devices via the c4 zwave drivers which are specific to the vera and are titled zwave at the beginning.

The vera edge is perfectly fine for just zwave. The vera plus has zigbee and Bluetooth as well but I doubt you'll need those. The Bluetooth feature doesn't seem to be compatible with very many devices and has been problematic for most.

You could contact several of them to make separate site visits. It wouldn't be a bad idea to start with the original dealer. I also provide remote services if you need changes or device configuration to suit your needs. Sometimes local dealers don't want to deal with take over projects unless there's an opportunity to generate a little bit of revenue. A site visit is still the best option right now and should be free

I'm not sure how your system is set up but I've seen this problem when there's only one controller in the project and its not placed in a central location relative to the majority of C4 lighting. Eg, in a rack in the basement. This may not your actual problem but I've seen inconsistent behavior when this is the case. It could be something else. It looks like you have everything set right. Make sure you don't have any programming left behind if that was your previous method of controlling that advanced lighting scene with a button press. For proper LED tracking, the easiest way is connecting/binding the advanced lighting scene to keypad button, which is the way you're setting it up. Click Follow Bound Color check box and change your colors below for on and off. You may need to change the LED colors in the advanced lighting scene too. I haven't programmed a 6 button keypad in awhile so I can't remember if its necessary for connections but necessary for programming led colors for when advanced lighting scenes are active or inactive. Go to the Trophy Light advanced lighting scene and change the Active LED color to what you want to see when the lights in that group are at their final scene level (On) and select the proper inactive LED color too. Do the same for the Trophy Light Off scene but remember, "Active" does not necessarily mean that lights are neither ON nor OFF. Active means that all the tracking conditions in the lighting scenes are met (including All Loads or Any Loads). In this case, ACTIVE would mean that all the lights are off so choose your LED color accordingly. I sometimes like to change the Tracking for all the lights in the On scene to "Is On" and I check "Any Load" so it will trigger that scene to be active if ANY one of the lights in that group are on.

There is a C4 driver for a vera controller in the C4 database. You can also automate a home with a vera device solely, with its own app/interface, but there won't be a level of custom programming anywhere near as in depth as the control4 platform. I have not tried integrating any control4 devices into it (nor will I bother or unsure if its even possible). A zwave driver will be needed for each zwave device and each device will display in the C4 navs as if they are a control4 device. You can't integrate every zwave device. Mainly lighting, locks, thermostat, motion/contact sensors and a few more. I haven't expanded further past that. The downside of all this is the vera controller becomes another "hop" to reach the zwave devices so there are usually small delays but it responds well enough and is fairly reliable. Because it is a link between a zwave device and control4, there's always also a vulnerability to losing control/access from C4 to any device paired to the vera controller if there are any network issues (don't connect via wifi). Eg, vera temporarily goes down because of poor network setup or heavy network traffic and therefore no more control of any lighting or scenes, doorlocks, motion/contact sensors, etc within C4. Regardless, I'm impressed at how well Vera controllers perform with Control4, or on their own. There's a newer Vera Secure controller that is not only an automation controller but a security system all in one. Has a battery back up too. You can integrate supported wireless sensors within itself but I wouldn't rely on this as a professional security system. Its a decent DIY solution and I know some professionals are using vera with control4 to keep the cost lower but it could be a headache in the long run if expecting this setup to be perfectly reliable.

This depends on how many garage doors you have. You would only need one per door. Here is a copy and paste of the specs. Z2IO is a wireless zigbee device that has contacts, relays, and IR's. Its great for retrofit situations where you can't run wires back to the rack. Its new and replaces the previous Control4 wireless card access devices. You don't need this if you're able to wire straight to your EA5.

I haven't loaded too many web pages yet but I set up our family google calendar on the T3 and it displays properly and updates quickly. It works after a controller reboot too. I no longer have excuses as to why I didn't see the appointment my wife added on the kitchen T3 about fixing the baby gate on the weekend. For $10 its a handy driver to have and the url can be changed in Composer HE for end users.

Control4 sells a 2 garage door kit which includes the 2 brackets, 2 magnetic contacts, and 2 zigbio to io devices. This could all be controlled wirelessly with c4 without having to run wire back to the controller. Wiring instructions comes with the kit

I do like this idea but if you're in the driveway washing the car/boat/motorcycle the door could close if you're nowhere near the motion sensor. I'm sure there's way to program around this. Maybe include a condition to exclude the motion sensor from closing the doors if music is playing in the garage (if it's an audio zone).

Its not necessary for integration but it could enhance security while the doors are open or simply turn the garage lights on when motion is sensed. The lights built into the garage door opener are usually not bright enough.

The most reliable integration is with contacts, relays and a motion sensor (optional). That would take more of your time and a bit of creativity to run wires to the proper locations but the status will be instant. You can rely on this type of monitoring. The easiest and fastest method is with the MYQ gateway and the Houselogix MYQ control4 driver. http://www.houselogix.com/shop/liftmaster-myq-control4-driver-license. The downfall of this method is the potential delay in status on most occasions when using the factory garage door remotes. The driver will not poll more frequently than 60 seconds so the status could be off by a whole minute. Sometimes the status is almost instant but that can't be expected unless using Control4 methods to open/close the doors. I can help you with this if interested.

MP3, WMA, MP4, FLAC, and AAC are suppported audio file types. I believe Kodi has a Karaoke plugin. If you were to also import your music library into there too, you should be able to see the words on the screen. I have not tried this yet as I have not had time to get together some friends, drink lots of beer, and sing along terribly to some good music. If you had the https://www.chowmainsoft.com/kodi-xbmc-full-driver-for-control4/ Kodi Full or Lite driver, you would be able to also import your movie library into C4 and have access to them on the C4 Nav and be able to play them on a supported Kodi device. The Raspberry Pi 3 is a very popular low budget video player to use with Control4.

Control4 has QNAP drivers. There isn't native support for media monkey with Control4 or any of the controllers. If you manage your library with iTunes, there is a free driver that integrates that into Control4. You don't have to do any extra work to have albums and CD art organized properly in the C4 navigator. If you manage your library with media monkey, you will be able to export that library file (with the use of a "plugin"), convert it, and import it into the Control4 media data base using free software called Media composer. You could also purchase Composer HE and that will give you the ability to custom program your system with media composer built into the softare. If your media monkey library is managed well and has CD covers and all the tracks organized, your Control4 data base will be the same (if you follow the proper steps of conversion). Your library audio files will have to stay in the same network location as they were with media monkey so that the new library file will have valid network file locations for Control4 to pull from. Control4 can also scan network file locations for music and will try to find meta data.

Synology or QNAP are both great for a NAS. The C4 Listen menu for MYMUSIC is simple but you can program playlists to play with keypad buttons or customize the conditions of when other playlists play. There all sorts of ways to program media to play rather than searching manually for it. Its better to create playlists. For a single user music collection, a thumb drive (or powered usb drive) formatted to FAT32 and connected to the EA3 will be detected automatically. A NAS drive will need the C4 NAS driver installed and configured for network folder. Once set up, the media can be scanned into Control4 but you will have to create new playlists from scratch. There is another thread on here detailing how to import a library from mediamonkey and using the control4 plugin to convert it to a control4 xml file. This will save time a lot of time in scanning and creating a new library in control4.
