  1. You don't want to output from one matrix into another. However if you're really just talking about music, you can run audio from say a CORE 5 controller, which has 3 analog outs and 3 digital outs, and run 3 to each matrix (or 4 to the AMS16 and 2 to the AMS8 is probably how I would do it actually), and you'd be fine, and would have the ability to have all zones play in sync if you wanted to still.
  2. That's odd. I've installed probably close to 100 of them and have not had to rma a single one. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  3. I use the Triad matrix in all of my systems and they work great. I wouldn't take one guys comment that they suck as gospel.
  4. Have several available. Removed from a working system, upgraded to Halo Touches. In perfect cosmetic and working condition. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  5. Should be fine. I typically run Araknis Router & Switches, along with Ruckus APs.
  6. where do I get the latest version of this driver? and is it supposed to have an Apple TV icon in navigator? I installed the one at the beginning of this thread but client is telling me its showing a DVD disc icon...maybe I have the wrong version? OS 3.3.0 HC800
  7. looks like they are made by Janus - anyone used them? do they work well with Adorne devices?
  8. It was my understanding that the Legrand lighting couldn't be integrated with Control4, but this link seems to dictate otherwise - anyone know about this or tried these drivers? Or know where to find them? https://www.legrand.us/on-q/rflighting-third-party-drivers
  9. I don't believe there is a way to force it back to the home/favorites screen through programming or configuration...hopefully they'll add that as an option going forward though. I did figure out that if you don't have an on-screen endpoint configured for the room, then pressing the on-screen hard button (center, below screen), will quickly bring the remote back to the home screen, or at least close to it...will bring you to a screen showing a soft home button and the time and currently playing information and then you can tap the home button to get back to the favorites screen. Hopefully in future releases they will allow configuration of that button to go directly to the home/favorites screen if desired, which would make it one less click.
  10. You Probably don't even need the core lite (unless you want the on screen interface on that TV)
  11. Yes. Typically if I'm using it to control a smart fan via bond I'll just hard wire nut the power behind the keypad so it's always on. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  12. If it's only a hundred or couple hundred to swap out to a core 5 so that you are starting with a current gen controller, if it were me I would do it. But I don't think you will necessarily notice a big difference in performance.
  13. I would just stick with the ea5 unless your dealer is willing to swap it out for free for you.
  14. I have several NEEO remotes available for sale - removed from a system and upgraded to Halo Touch remotes. PM me if interested.
  15. dealers are required to update the OS. Some devices (Halo remotes for example) can auto-update when Control4 pushes out new firmware.
  16. Home button would be nice. Or at least the option to configure the on screen button to be a home button if desired. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  17. The CA10 runs the project but doesn't have any IO ports so you would use the ea5 for it's IO. CA10 is current generation, it doesn't have a CORE model equipment.
  18. Yes I was going to suggest a ca10 as well. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  19. so what's the status with this? did it fizzle out?
  20. I just ran into this with an 8x8, turns out the issue was trying to use the 8x8 v2 driver with an 8x8 v1. But that shouldn't apply with an AMS16 since there is only one version.
  21. Yeah it sounds like you've ticked off the boxes to rule out an IP conflict.
  22. Had this happen recently with an AMS16 for a client. He was sure it was a bad unit but it turns out he had an IP address conflict.
  23. I do still have a new in box chime poe in satin. PM me if interested.
  24. Use composer pro or buy the renamer driver and rename it.
  25. NYCE changed a component in these sensors a year or two ago, and since that they have been annoying because I've had to pad them at the top to point them more towards the floor when the door is opened, otherwise they don't register the door as being opened even when it is fully opened. Before that they were great.
