  1. yeah I often take screen snips of the connections and send to my clients so they can see the bindings. some clients ask me to remove them all so that they have complete control in HE, but its not as easy to configure the LEDs to "track" lights/scenes/shades, which happens automatically when you do them with connections.
  2. None that I'm aware of. The only 3rd party Apple TV driver is the one from IntrinsicDev and it doesn't. https://www.intrinsicdev.com/downloads/apple-tv-driver-control4/
  3. Control4 has offered a separate audio matrix for many years, way before the Triad line. Same with Crestron, Savant, and others. It's the more flexible approach because (like I stated earlier) if you need to route audio coming from various sources (control4 music, TVs, video sources, etc) to various types of amps and AVRs, you can't easily do that with a matrix Amp. 4. I don't have any inside info as to their reasoning, but my guess would be that they just figured they already had that in the Episode DSP series of amps, so why create another overlapping product within the Snap brand family? Separate matrix and Amp allows for more flexibility of install, because you can easily route audio outputs from the matrix to AVRs, various types of amps that are purpose fit for things like landscape speaker systems, hifi/2.1 zones, etc.
  5. Those were power amps not matrix amps that were bad. C4-AMP108. And one bad batch of Triads. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
  6. https://www.lampsplus.com/products/52-inch-wac-clean-matte-white-smart-indoor-outdoor-ceiling-fan-with-remote__84e93.html Anyone know if that fan is compatible with Control4? I see that it is "smart" with integration to alexa etc, but not sure if that means it also will work with the Control4 WAC-Modern Forms IP driver or if there is a different flavor required for that (or has to be Modern Forms)?
  7. Correct - with the exception being that if you have a Sonos port or amp in the rack, fed by audio from Control4, you can pipe that audio to Sonos wireless speakers as well.
  8. Yes it works just like a control4 wired zone. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
  9. https://www.snapav.com/shop/en/snapav/ea-rsp-12d-100 $2477.95 msrp for the 6-zone, $2086.30 for the 4-zone. PM me if interested I can get you one for a better deal.
  10. to add, my main issue with Episode ones are no digital inputs
  11. Anthem MDX are great matrix amps, as well as Episode Response series (not as good as Anthem but will be fine for basic background music)
  12. I'm not sure why Snap hasn't built their own wireless speaker yet and continue to just get crushed by Sonos in this area. That said, you could use Sonos speakers and control them through control4, albeit in a limited fashion (just the ability to select from your Sonos "favorites") rather than full browsing/searching of music like you have with native control4 services. Of course you can also still use the Sonos app for that though. In a nutshell, I'd say Sonos is your best option at this point if you don't want to use a triad one connected to ceiling speakers (which would limit the wire runs to be just locally within that room to minimize drywall repairs)
  13. are you just using BlueStacks or some other Android emulator to run it, or is there some more built-in way of doing this in windows?
  14. true... anyone know if we can make use of the circle (bottom left) and square (bottom right) buttons? I can't seem to find them anywhere in programming.
  15. All good points...although I'm still in the opinion that there isn't a need for 3 programmable buttons when you already have a screen full of (much prettier and customizable) soft buttons that are a click away. I guess if they made it easier to get back to the favorites screen that would help.
  16. Hmm. Attach picture? Ones I have used had an A button.
  17. Yeah I think they built those for the new MOIP stuff mostly.
  18. Are you using the xifnity remote? Has to be done with their remote not control4.
  19. well then it should be a configurable option at a minimum, because there is a reason every other home automation company has standardized on this approach, and I'm pretty sure you're in the minority.
  20. The Home/House status page should be an out-of-the-box feature, shouldn't require extra programming to build on a case-by-case basis...just like you get with all of the other competitors...and there's a reason. And that's half the reason that my Control4 clients who use Josh prefer the Josh app over Control4. RyanE I love you man but you're just making excuses That said, you do have the ability to easily see if there is any A/V stuff happening simply by seeing if the "3-line House" in the top right is active...so that's part of it. Now just need some more of that same idea but for lights, shades, locks, etc.
  21. Personally, I don't think that the notifications feature is insignificant. That eliminates a huge pain point for dealers and customers alike, and lots of programming hours to setup notifications and then change them again when the customer changes their mind. Its been a big time suck for me over the years.
  22. Agreed on the home screen! Seems pretty obvious, right?
  23. Please do explain further what you mean by this?
  24. Only with ovrc pro not ovrc connect Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
  25. Director update should cause all devices to update in theory. Yes can be done via ovrc Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
