well I wouldn't say that's completely true - if you have a CORE 3 for example, it has 3 audio outputs, each of which could be mapped to a specific room...so you'd have control of volume etc for up to 3 zones.
I'll second that, I've never experienced any broken-ness of IP control, it has worked really well in my experience actually. Can't wait for the voice control - is that ever going to happen as promised?
this same issue was just reported to me by one of my clients this weekend. I asked him to disable and re-enable Apple TV Control in the Control4 app and he said that fixed it. Not sure why that didn't work for you.
no you can't add "Custom Buttons" to anything other than the room level. You CAN add "Experience buttons" to Comfort and Security (and favorite from there if you wish). You can use 3rd party experience button drivers or Control4 has native experience button drivers that you can use if you aren't particular about the icon which is used. Or you can build your own Experience Button drivers if you feel so inclined and have lots of free time on your hands...
Do channel up/down work from the Control4 app for Dish? I'd be surprised if that was something specific to the Halo itself and not some kind of driver issue.
I haven't had any issues with my Siri control nor have I heard from any of my other clients that they are having any issues, so I'm thinking that this is something environmental and not a widespread issue with Halos?
I have a couple of clients who have mentioned that they are having ghosts as well (music, TVs turning on in middle of the night) this week...one is on OS 3.3.3 (EA5), another on 3.3.0 (HC800). Not sure if its room control driver related or not...haven't gotten to the bottom of it.
If you'd like I can do a zoom call with you to review it, I would have to charge for my time since this is what I do for a living. But it sounds like you've most likely got the wires in the boxes mis-identified. Travelers are almost never white for example...they are usually 1 black, 1 red.
