Luke reacted to Cyknight in Switch C4 Yale lock with Amazon replacement
You can always see if one of the remote dealers on here is able so spend the 15 minutes with you while you're there. such as @msgreenf

It may work without further interference, I've had both happen. Still, a matter of a dealer logging in remotely, open a window and someone on site to press a button 4 times.

But the card is already IDed. Ive replaced kwiksets this way and nothing needed to be done in composer.

End user... I strongly disagree. How would my nanny change the temp in my house? She doesn’t have a smart phone, my t-stat is deep in an AV closet, and I abandoned dedicated crappy touch screens long ago. She doesn’t speak English and all I had to do was show her the red button on the sr260 and she could use everything immediately.
Sure I can select my audio/video sources on my remotes but the “coolness” of control4 would be completely gone for me if I didn’t see it come up on my TV when I hit the red 4 button.
Im not your ideal client. I’ve got self installed Lutron lighting, security, sonos everywhere and a ton used of gear off eBay. Control4 ties it all together and the TV GUI is my favorite part. My system isn’t designed or relies on any single brand.

Not sure why you would not be a client of ours, we sell plenty of systems with non c4 gear and are probably 50% of our lighting systems are lutron via requests of homeowners/architects/builders.
Most of our clients in situations like your's show them how to use the remote, a touchscreen in the kitchen, or they leave an Ipad out in the main living area.

There are two Concord4 drivers, one old one and one new one. If your GUI has the “big round button” on the alarm page, you’re using the new one.
The new one will continue to work. If you’re still on the old one, a dealer can swap out the driver as part of the upgrade process.

Ironic that it works with 13,500 third party devices but not its own HC250.

Uh, road maps are typically shared in industries with complicated supply chains so that customers can plan their own purchasing and manufacturing accordingly. that really doesn't exist here. That said, the armchair lawyer opinions being shared here about trade secrets and insider trading can safely be ignored - none are even close. Sincerely, an IP lawyer.
