As Mitch above mentioned, this likely is due to a known change/glitch in C4/Spotify update. Likely as he said update the Spotify driver and the system software. Nothing major if you're already on 3.x.
Reach out to Mitch above with a PM and he can get you sorted in shot order

    DRIVER REWRITE
Chowmain launches new Hikvision driver suite for Control4. Beginning with O.S. 3.4.0, camera drivers have the ability to distribute audio to devices running Navigator. Our newly written Hikvision IP camera driver implements this for cameras with microphones.

The development of advanced versions of the Camera and NVR drivers was prompted by a need for enhanced performance and reliability. These advanced drivers represent a substantial rewrite of the original ones and come with several key improvements. Most notably, they now support Digest authentication, which significantly streamlines the setup process and ensures more dependable operation.

In addition to this, the advanced drivers feature a set of diagnostic tests accessible via Actions > Display Diagnostics. These tests offer valuable feedback to dealers, helping them identify and address any necessary adjustments in the driver or hardware, ultimately contributing to a smoother and more efficient integration process.

awcs33 reacted to Cyknight in Is there anything close to C4 thats open to anyone ?
If C4 pulled your dealer satus, then it is going to be in (likely in a large) part because you weren't doing the numbers to maintain it.
Elan would do the same thing, though they may have a less saturated market (so a lower threshold).
But ANY of the more advanced options out there are dealer model based (to one degree or another) - and all of them will have certain requirements.
You basically say that C4 wasn't 'open' enough for you - but that translates to needing a lower threshold to becoming and maintaining a dealership status. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, but any of them will have those thresholds, and all o them will have (local/regional) market dependant thresholds. What I'm trying to say is that there is no singular answer to what system is easier to be/keep being a certified dealer for.
In any area it might be Elan, is could be Savant, Crestron or indeed Control4. But those 4 are basically the ones that are comparable in capability though of course each has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Maybe RTI or URC have all you're looking to do and maybe those fit the bill, but those two aren't near as complete as Control4 or the others are.

In other words, you're better off talking to the reps for these companies first and foremost to see what their requirements are.

awcs33 reacted to alanchow in Chowmain - Tado HVAC driver
    Overview
Chowmain releases tado driver for Control4 providing bi-directional control and feedback over tado's range of smart thermostats, hvac controllers and radiator valves.
tado is a developer of energy conservation technology designed to offer heating control systems for private homes and small businesses. The company's technology offers a mobile application that automatically detects a user's proximity to their residence and adjusts the temperature of the air conditioner accordingly, enabling users to optimize energy consumption at home without sacrificing comfort.
tado° works with all common heating systems as well as with most thermostatic radiator valves.
Integration to Control4 allows dealers to integrate boilers, underfloor heating, radiators and IR based airconditioning / heating systems with bi-directional control and feedback.
    Driver Features
Two way control and feedback over room temperature, humidity, setpoints, hvac modes, fan speeds, and swing control using the Control4 thermostat UI. Hot water control if zone is setup in Tado. Automatic setup of zone capabilities. Automatic import of zones found in Tado home. Automatic renaming of zones in Control4. Periodic polling of zone statuses to keep the Control4 UI in sync. This gives the client the ability to use both the Control4 and Tado app. Tado Zones Supported
Air Conditioning Off, Auto, Heat, Cool, Dry, Fan modes (If AC Unit supports it) Setpoint selection Fan speed selections Swing control selections Presets and scheduling Heating Off, Heat modes Setpoint selection Presets and scheduling Hot Water Auto adds and binds Control4 generic radiator driver On/Off control FAQ
    What products are supported?
Smart AC Control V3+ Smart Radiator Thermostat V3+ (TRV) Wired or wireless thermostat V3+ Add-on Wireless receiver Why is this product so exciting?
In Australia and New Zealand (and other countries) HVAC integration has been hard because HVAC companies do not utilise the honeywell based wiring that most smart thermostats like Nest, Control4 and Honeywell use. Split Systems have been extremely hard as traditionally they only offer IR based remote controls. In the past we have integrated these systems by learning every combination of IR code however this is extremely time consuming.
With Tado, installers can now easily integrate HVAC systems into Control4. On top of that, it is easily retrofittable into homes so dealers can now revisit old customers with compatible HVAC systems to upgrade their home automation system and integrate their HVAC systems without additional wiring.
Where do I buy Tado from?
The Tado Smart AC Control V3+ is available from various retailers off the shelf (Harvey Norman, JB Hifi, Pb Tech etc). The other Tado products can be purchased online from Amazon or directly from the Tado website.
What climate control systems will Tado work with?
Supported Manufacturers include (but not limited to)
Vaillant Worcester Intergas Junkers Remeha Baxi Ideal Viessmann Nefit Saunier Duval and more To check compatibility, see their website. https://www.tado.com/all-en/compatibility
How do I know if my AC is compatible with the Smart AC Control?
If your AC has an infrared remote and the remote displays the current settings, tado is most likely compatible.
Do I need an Internet Bridge for Control4 Integration?
If your install consists of only the Tado Smart AC Control V3+ units, you won't need an internet bridge as they connect to the home wifi network. Any other Tado products will require the Tado Internet bridge.
Can I do scheduling in the Control4 app?
Yes, our driver has built in presets and scheduling.
Are there any other important things to know about this product?
Tado integration requires an active and stable internet connection as control and feedback is achieved via the cloud. Unfortunately, there is no local API for the product.
I want to try this driver out before buying it?
All Chowmain drivers for Control4 come with a 90 day trial.
How do I find out more information about the driver?
Please see the links below for more information about the driver.

    Could be lots of things..
Make sure its not set up as Guest Wifi, make sure its not set up as mesh, make sure its all on the same vlan.
Also, turn off wifi on your router, and connect everything through a central switch (don't use the switch ports on the main router)

Make sure you can ping the HC800 from a laptop at least. That being said, your installer should be able to help you

awcs33 reacted to alanchow in What time is OS 3.3 coming out?
For reference all lighting drivers irrespective of developer requires to be replaced.  Control4 had to do this as there was no standards for how RGBW lighting worked before hand with multiple lighting proxies being used, some camera proxies and webviews.  As such there was no upgrade path.  Hence why you have to install manually.
Luckily for us Control4 gave all the major developers plenty of time to rewrite all of their drivers which we took advantage of to make sure that all of our licenced drivers were upgraded to support this new OS 3.3 lighting proxy.

awcs33 reacted to RyanE in Philips Hue and Control4 - Possible to share Zigbee coordinator/network?
Not exactly correct, Control4 uses the standard Zigbee Pro join pre-shared key, but Control4 does require an additional Zigbee Cluster, which 3rd party devices do not support, and also requires a driver for the device be found during the join process, or the device is kicked off of Control4's mesh.
Due to these 2 incompatibilities, Control4's Zigbee mesh does not let 'external' 3rd-party devices join.
