Could the control4 apple be downloaded directly from the Mac app store on the M1 Macs or is it one of the apps that need a workaround to download?

Sorry to bring back this old topic but I am having the same problem with my system slowing down over time and needing a reboot. How can I pinpoint the possible problematic driver exactly?

This might be a stupid question, but if you connect a heated towel rack to a light switch is it possible to change the "property" of the switch in control4 so that it doesn't come up as a light? I was thinking of doing this but I want to know if I would be able to change the icon so that it looks like something other than a light bulb in control4. Please let me know if this is possible.

Are there any downsides to having smart tint instead of blinds? Someone mentioned something about cold weather earlier. Just trying to find out more about the product.

I've had a problem where my controllers "slow down" over time. A reboot fixes this but I would love to get to the bottom of what is going on. Do you think this could help me?

Same thing happened to me. This could definitely just be a coincidence but I opened the intercom app on my phone and then rung it from the doorbell or one of my t3s. The call went through in the app and when I closed it it continued to work.

That’s a great idea. Does it track properly in c4? What’s the name of the driver?

Also, do you have any Lutron controlled fans in your project? My fans do not track properly either.

Did you just have your dealer fix it every time it happened?

I don't see how that would be expected behavior. I am on the latest OS and I don't have to answer the call to see the picture.

For the last few weeks my Ea5 has been acting strangely. At random times, the Ea5 output volumes (there are four outputs) change from 100 to 0 resulting in my family not being able to hear the music that is supposed to be playing. My dealer then has to go into composer and manually change the output volumes back to 100. I have had control4 for years and have never had this problem before. If anyone has an idea of why this issue happening and how to fix it please let me know!

Thank you for the input. They are all on the same software and they are all wired. I don’t know if it’s possible but it seems like something is “draining” the ram over time.

Ha thanks but is it normal for the t3s to have to be rebooted to keep them fast? I’m guessing it’s not.

I don’t know why I didn’t try this earlier but power-cycling my t3s made them just as fast as the new one that was just installed. Is this normal or is something wrong happening in the background? Again any help is greatly appreciated!

I recently had a new T3 installed in my house and it is much faster than the rest of the t3's in my house. This new T3 replaced a T3 with a screen defect under warrantee. The difference is very obvious and I just wish I could figure out what is causing my other t3's to be so slow. If anyone has an idea of what might be going on please let me know!

Does anyone know how I could incorporate a Bluetooth beacon into Control4? I want to be able to use a Bluetooth low energy beacon to trigger an event (through Control4 or ifttt). If this worked, I would be able to walk into a room in my house with my phone and have an event automatically trigger. The reason a motion sensor would not work the same way is because the phone identifies who is “walking in the room”. It is the same technology that August uses for Auto Unlock (along with geofencing). Please feel free to throw any ideas out there!
