  1. Make sure you put fibre cable too. Wifi 7 likely requires fibre for full performance (it operates up to 40-50gbps
  2. As long as you use RSTP instead of STP, you'll be fine. Also, it doesn't have PIM support (which affects VLAN's and autodiscovery mainly). If you're planning to do VLAN's or aren't competent with networking get what your installer tells you to purchase. Unifi works fine in standard cases Access Networks / Ruckus however is generally considered the best option these days (but is expensive)
  3. What WiFi AP were you planning to use? The answer should be no, but, you'll want to speak to an installer to ensure you do it properly. I've come a fair number of C4 systems which have crappy wifi setups (most tend to be self-DIY installs).
  4. Gday. I wrote the driver. It likely won't work because it's a different API. The good news is that we have a new ttlock based driver now (and you can look at brands like Auslock) Also, keep in mind that the tuya driver is no longer available for sale
  5. Were you using our driver? https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-axis-ip-cameras
  6. An alternative lock product, you can look at too is AusLock or TTLock
  7. Another Flexible option is Ozuno RAPIX (which uses dali) depending on the installation.. Free Driver: https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-ozuno-rapix
  8. I will say, the core units and ca10 units are definitely much faster. One of our drivers (so far) actually detects and processor, and if it's one of those two, it doubles the speed of initialization (the driver requires a lot of connection commands)
  9. Control4 uses their own zigbee (for various reasons. From my understanding their version is much better suited for typical control4 deployments). There likely won't be a straightforward workaround to integrate without a gateway. I'd use another lighting product. Products like wiz or Shelly are wifi based and might be suitable alternative
  10. Not sure, but if it has an rf remote you can use bond potentially. Or, ir, there are other products that can help
  11. G'day, I just spoke to Justin. Our driver works with the Rules engine on the DW Spectrum cameras. If the camera and DW Spectrum work together and you can get an event from the Rules Engine, then our driver will receive that event for programming. It could be worthwhile contacting Digital Watchdog support and asking them how their face detection operates with the equipment you're purchasing.
  12. G'day, I'll check with Justin (the original developer) and let you know
  13. You'll might even need to set up static IP's on your router depending on things.. Hard to say, but you might need an installer onsite
  14. You'll need to fix the network wiring most likely and install a router and network switch (ie, connect the patch panel to the internet) In practice though, the HC800's are obsolete. It could be worth speaking to Control4, getting some training and becoming a dealer, particularly if you do a lot of mid to high end homes.
  15. You can also look at the AI based CCTV Cameras like Dahua or Hikvision cameras/NVR. These can fire events based on Face detection, Licence Plates, etc (if you use Chowmain driver, I can't speak on behalf of other developers). Alternatively, if you want something a bit higher end, you could also look at a brand like Axis.
  16. KASA, or Wiz are good options if you want integrated switches.. Or, use something like Shelly pucks wired to normal switches
  17. They should be, unless there is another mode which won't break things?
  18. Listen to msgreenf.. He has lots of experience.. I'd enable STP everywhere.
  19. Similar to the other guys, you'll definitely want to do something like <modem (bridge mode> --> <Router (wifi disabled)> -> <Core Switch> --> EVERYTHING CONNECTED HERE, INCLUDING AP's Core Switch should have STP enabled. Ensure all AP's are wired by ethernet. If there is no cable for all the AP's, find a way to install one (it makes a massive difference).
  20. There is more evidence suggesting they are working heavily with Apple, than otherwise honestly..
  21. G'day, can you file a support ticket? They'll provide a way to give us remote support. https://chowmain.software/for-integrators/technical-support Thanks, Andy
  22. G'day, Just wondering if you're using the V1 drivers, or V2 drivers
  23. Pretty much.. That being said, I don't stand up for Apple often, but, I do respect that Apple pays artists a lot more than other platforms
