Dinushan Paranavithana
What is the best way to get the current temperature of a room and view the values in the app? I'll be using a Cool Master Net module to automate AC units.

tdougray
I also believe the Philips hue motion sensor will track temperature.

And can be displayed in interfaces using the thermostat proxy. You could also pickup a gen 1 tstat pretty cheap on ebay and just connect power to it. Depends on what you have in mind. Matt Lowe
I would suggest relying on the HVAC equipment to check temperatures. You want that system to be functional with out C4 and just have C4 to monitor control and adjust. turls

Hi @Matt Lowe, My customer wants to get rid of the in-wall thermostat which comes with regular AC units. Since the temperature sensor is inside the thermostat, I need to use another c4 compatible temperature sensor to update the proxy. The control inputs and outputs of Cool Master Net Zones can be seen in the following image. https://ibb.co/Bgr7Scz It doesn't have a temperature input. JamesPB
How did you get on? Similar question: I've got Daikin units in 4 rooms currently each with their own wired wall mounted controller. I also think the thermostat is in the controller? I've got Evohome HR92 thermostatic valves on the radiators in each room too. Would you suggest hooking the aircon into Cool Master, removing the wall controllers and I guess relying on the sensors of the HR92? Will I gain or loose any features? I've noticed that currently the Daikin units don't shut off automatically when they cool the air to the setpoint. Is that something Cool Master/Control could fix? Dinushan Paranavithana
I couldn't still figure this out! The readings that I get on the app proxy aren't accurate. I believe it's not sending the current temperature reading getting displayed on the thermostat to the Cool Master Net Module. I have demonstrated this in the video given below. Appreciate it if someone can help !

eyecandy
Not sure if my issue is related but I cannot see the room temperature on the C4 app all of a sudden. I can use the app to lower or increase temps but cant see the current room temp. How can I resolve this?
Neo1738
MIght need to reboot the thermostat and see if that helps first.
eyecandy
Thank you. I googled resetting the Honeywell thermostat which I have and the following came up: Does that sound about right?
eyecandy
Okay so I figured out that my thermostat is a wireless one by Aprilaire. I have the control4 composer HE. Can I reset the thermostat there? If so, how? Thanks.
Neo1738
Take thermostat off mount (just pull it off) remove all 4 batteries, wait a minute, replace all batteries than place back on mount

The control4 units specifically have one external house probe and one for outside.
