Greenfield Solutions will be releasing a receiver modes button today!  We are very excited to help make changing receiver mode changes much more timely and easier to use!  This is a universal button and can be programmed to work with almost any receiver that allows you to set modes!

Here is sneak peak of the button

Dolby PLx II, Music, and Movie versions?

Matrix?

Direct?

Pure?

Pure Direct?

THX?

DTS different version?

Yamaha and other 'specialty' options (Arena, Roxy Theatre, etc)?

Game?

If I dare suggest... use the Dolby/DTS/THX icons for their respective versions instead of/in addition to text?

Personally I'd like to see it go further in actually have the speaker icon CHANGE to the logos.....

I'm assuming it'll have the ability to hide unused versions?

Is it able to use cycle (toggle) surround mode if receiver doesn't support direct selection, and be able to sort the order of the cycle to match the used receiver?

This looks very useful @msgreenf. A few months back I had my SR260 programmed so that the 4 color buttons could select some of my most used surround modes. I'm wondering if this is an event more robust solution for my setup. I am wondering:

  • Can you share the cost of the driver?
  • Is this likely to work with the Denon AVR X3600H?
  • Are there driver settings that can be configured with Composer HE, or do all settings need to be made by a dealer?
  • How would this driver work with the SR260 remote?

Thanks!

Once installed by a dealer it can be 100% configured in Composer HE

Today there are no capabilities for the SR260 as that uses the list navigator and this driver doesn't support the list navigator

Hi,

how can i check if it works together with a given AVR/PrePro?

We´re using mainly Trinnov Altitude PrePros in our installations.

Would it be possible to

  • toggle through upmixer selection
  • toggle through remapper mode
  • select presets (max. 29 to chose from)

?

It supports 6 modes today but can be expanded for more.

It has a free trial so try it out! But this will work w any receiver.

Thanks for the helpful replies! Any chance of SR260 support in the foreseeable future?

This is more about availability of experience buttons on the SR260 than the driver itself - meaning unless Control4 comes up with some way of having multi-layer feedback for experience buttons on SR260 I don't think Mitch can do anything...
