tmj4
Is this sort of bleed from the edges normal? This is at one of the lowest brightness settings as it was early this morning when taken. Regardless of brightness of the screen, get lots of white light bleeding from edges on the black screen.
dinom
I’m not at home to double check but I have not noticed that with mine. Certainly not bad enough that I even thought twice about it. I’ll update when I get home.
lippavisual
Is that an original T4? Not the reproduced T4?
South Africa C4 user
I have 4 T4s and have never noticed this. I looked at two of the, now and there is a tiny bit of light bleed when on a black screen but nothing like what you are seeing. tmj4

lippavisual
Correct Gary. All originally purchased T4’s should be receiving replacements that fixed the manufacturing defect. I’m only assuming this was the issue. Your dates line up right.
dinom
Really? Never heard of that. Is this with 8” or 10” or both? I have 10”.

So… how can we tell whether a T4 is a mommy, daddy or the baby. I am reading that we want the baby T4? tmj4

dinom
Still trying to understand if the manufacturer defect affected all T4s or just one of the models? Does OP have 8” or 10”? I can’t tell by the pic.

lippavisual
The recall was on the 8” panels, so looks like the 10” may have some recalls coming from what I’m seeing. I’d RMA that sucka.
DanITman
I'll see if I can get a photo of mine.
dinom
Was the recall for this particular issue of light bleed?
lippavisual
It was just stated as “a screen defect”. no other details that I’ve heard of.
