1remote
In control4 you can use Weather-bug, I also like to use XBMC along with it's built in weather options.
qVAMPIREp
Hey all,Anyone integrated a weather station into C4? Davis has a system with a wireless serial module available... http://www.vantagevue.com/That is really cool! Would be a neat thing to integrate into the system particulaily if you could use the readings to control blinds, irrigation, etc.
turls
What about this?http://www.weatherhawk.com/home-automationC4 isn't listed, but I'm surprised "weatherhawk" brought up no search results here, for that matter, lots of shade/blind control talk, but no actual window automation? "Wintrol" brought up no hits either.http://www.electronichouse.com/article/5_overlooked_home_areas_to_automate/homecontrol/P14/
thecodeman
I think we should see something related to weather stations at CEDIA this year. I'll have more info from the floor.

wappinghigh
^ Huh? I don't think you'll find the weather station is $400... the driver maybe, but what's the point of the driver without the station?..

wappinghigh
The Davis is *way* cheaper. It's a real pity that C4 Davis driver is taking so long..
seth_j
Uh, yeah. I was talking about the Davis. Am missing something here or does this page not say everything is $400? Is there anything else one would need?I'm sure the Weatherhawk is much better quality and I think they were around $6k last I checked.
wappinghigh
That's the one..and I thought these guys http://www.control4dev.com/ were supposed to be doing a driver..but who are these guys? Are they still in business?...
R_Willis
Yeah, I'd be at that price point for sure! The $400 includes the LCD base station, if you didn't HAVE to have that, you could do $225.Not sure if you'd have to have it or not..??
CFUG
Just curious so don't jump me. If all you guys need is a trigger for lawn watering and shades, why not just get the individual sensors you need and wire them back to an HC or I/O? Somfy makes the sun/wind sensor and that's less than $150. I just bought an optical rain sensor and that was like $50.
ILoveC4
I just want to be able to see humidity, temp, wind speed, and forecast.

TexasBill
Do it better and cheaper with an Ambient Weather WS 2080 - it will cost you for everything less than $200.00 and works a treat. Not only do you get integrated data in C4 but you get a Weather Underground station as well.Bill

prabeau
You mean to say you require a computer to run 24/7 in order to integrate with C4.Is it it also required for the IP version ?All too confusing, just looked outside its raining :/
