Forgot to mention ppex for Sony Android TV's

Although our driver will work with all Plex clients we only recommend the roku, amazon fire TV and HTPC (Plex media player & plex home theater) clients as they are either dedicated clients or we can launch the Plex app on those machines. All other clients including apple TV are discouraged as you need to manually start the application up.

I'm not sure how that works (API wise that is). We implemented everything we found in the API so it might be something that the client does with the data the server returns.

We have not tested plexbmc. We have tested it on plex home Theater though which utIlises XBMC as its core code. Our driver is written to control clients that adhere to plex's client API. If it can be controlled using the official plex iOS of android app then it should work with our driver. Please do your own testing using the built in trial licence in the driver prior to purchase.

The T3 should show the dashboard. I tested this on the roku, plex media player and plex home Theater clients. please submit a ticket to our helpdesk with relevant logs to try and capture it and we will try to see why it's not working.

You need to sign into your plex.tv account first in the driver. After that it will pull all the users in. Also make sure that your server is signed in as well.

Unfortunately the Flash based touchscreens do not come up with the dashboard (little bar on the bottom which shows play,pause,stop,skip). This isn't something we can resolve as its fully controlled internally on Control4's firmware. You should see the dashboard come up on IOS/Android/T3 based navigators though. The Plex Control proxy is designed to be used with touchscreens and is used exactly how you are using it.

Yes just point Kodi to the locations for your music, movies, tv shows and photos on your NAS. To test install Kodi on your Sony Android TV, set up your video, photo and music sources and once everything is scanned into your Kodi library install our Kodi Full driver (comes with a 48 hour trial) to test.

I think you're getting confused. The driver does not interact at all with Control4's movie library. It talks directly to the Kodi installation which is the media player itself (Sony Android TV's can install Kodi from the playstore for example). Kodi will need to be setup for your movie, tv show, photo, music locations on your NAS. Once Kodi is setup and the Kodi library has populated itself with content the driver will pull that information from Kodi's library on the fly. What this means is that you no longer need to scan for movies in Control4. Note Kodi is not compatible with Dune's or Roku's. It needs to be installed as an application on a compatible platform. This driver does so much. It provides browsing/searching/playback of movies, tv shows/episodes, video files, photos, music library, music files, audio addons on any navigator device. Playback state feedback, automatic aspect ratio detection (if you have a screen that masks and projector that supports 2.35/16:9 mode changing then you can automate this), automatic room on playback and room off on screen saver and much more. We did some testing on the VRX receivers back in August. Basically when they switch to cameras they kill the Kodi application and as such need to switch back to restart it. As such Videostorm will need to make some modifications to their devices to cater for this functionality. The generic TCP command driver will allow you to test HTTP GET and HTTP Post commands in addition to direct socket commands. Test it out to see if it will do what you want but from memory I don't think the VRX works the way you envision it to work. Our Kodi driver is based off of the V6 protocol which dates back to XBMC Frodo days so XBMC Frodo, Gotham, Helix, Kodi Isengard and Jarvis will all work on our driver.

You will need to do conditional logic for the main driver and mini drivers for all instances (if you have multiple kodi systems) if you want to cover all your bases. Will be a bit tedious to do especially if you have to do it for multiple rooms but can definately program against it.

you do need to upload the image to chunk.io for external viewing. I'm telling you to utilise the chunk.io image in the HTTP img tag as i assume you want to format it within the email rather than as an attachment. Otherwise whats the point of downloading an image from your camera, uploading it to chunk.io only to redownload it to attach it to the email. Might as well just download straight from the camera as an attachment.

Why would you upload to chuck.io then download using the SMTP driver and then email it out? You would either "use the URL of an image on my web server, the image shows up properly in the email. " or if you want to format the email you could insert HTML into the email so that it'll show up on a line. <img src='PARAM{XXX,YYY}'>

If your fan/light is infrared controller all you need is our driver and either an IR emitter or IR blaster.
