  1. Hell so am I ...... and my HC800 we are a good fit
  2. I have been using Sinope since it first came out. Have 5 water leak detectors also installed. Works great
  3. True I was stating at time of writing post. Could have mentioned that this is a setting i keep throughout the winter. Mind you I cant quite achieve the level of humidity when temps actually go as low as they do around here. Temp was in the -20 to -30 at times. Nothing like Alberta I admit.
  4. Everyone gets a tad paranoid I find when talking about mold. Yes it is something to be concerned about. But 45% in a cold climate where heating is on for outside temps below 0C thats 32F for my southern friends is not a problem if the house was built with modern standards. Its -5C ( out ) 22C (in) here right now the humidity in house is 47% and no condensation on widows ( first tell tale ) with a heat exchanger incorporated to system. Been this way for 12 years since house was built. I also own a Florida winter residence boy talk about panic looks around there when mold is mentioned. Summer and Fall I keep house Ecobee set at 80F and humidity control at 55% and fan on 5 Mins every hour for the last 11 years no issues. Mold has never been an issue. So a blanket statement of 45% humidity lacks context at the very least. Different types of building / materials, HVAC, windows and home orientation plays into it. Just saying
  5. I have had same issue with my HC800 and a new power supply was the answer.

  10. Stupid question but will the EA3 be an adequate replacement for an HC800 in a relatively small project. What more would give me and does it fit in a rack? Sorry to be so dull and not talking about newest stuff. Thanks

Looking to buy 2-3 white , preferably from a Canadian source ( avoiding custom costs ) Thanks
  12. I was starting to get interested but frankly when I saw "sold out" on the monthly membership....... leaves me more than a tad confused !
  13. I am an HC800 system owner. I like to chase the new technology as much as the next guy. However being a "senior" and on a pension one has to limit the chase. When the EA5 came out I was so tempted but I saw an opportunity, a cheap one; to buy a used HC800 as a backup. Started to realize that the EA5 would not add much to my project except to eliminate some audio work arounds. Now the new controllers are out and here I am thinking I might get a good buy on that EA5. Then saying to self what for just so I can say I have a newish controller ! I write this just to add to the conversation as an owner that might represent an unknown portion of the Control 4 owners. This forum has been a great source of information to me but is quickly moving out of my league as it should. Cheers
  14. Looking to replace what installer believes to be a faulty card. Every so often I get message " communication" . My dealer has looked high and low for a replacement card only to find out from his supplier they are back ordered till November. Given the state of affairs in supply chains and such, plus its an older DSC system I am taking a shot in the dark here. Thanks
  15. ShairBridge is available on an HC800 ?????
  16. Just waiting for the day mine quits and have to move over to C4 driver. Still working here.
  17. Thank you for info. Just an old fart trying to keep things working, past the stage of chasing new equipment. Retirement will do that.
