  1. Thank you for the offer. The way the controller quit had me puzzled. I had changed the power supply ( one that I had modified with the original connector) in use for over a year, with the power supply I got with the purchase of the backup HC800. I screwed up in my haste and plugged in to the non battery outlet of UPS and had a power interruption that kicked off the controller and only the power light would stay on, no LINK. This was the very symptom of the original failure of first power supply. Tried reconnecting my previous modified unit and same outcome. Both power supplies indicate 19V. Was able to find a tip that fits the controller and ordered a power supply from Amazon that fits directly into the barrel end of the tip. Controller went through its boot up and I had a link. Now this all done is there a way for me to add my other HC800 to my system for backup purpose or does that just complicate matters. Thanks
  2. My Hc 800 wont come online and tried different power supply. I believe its terminal. I have an HC800 I bought some time ago its on version 2.9. and was taken out of a working system. Version I am on is 3.1.3 Is a swap possible and update possible remotely or do I need my dealer to make a visit. This being Saturday ???
  3. I simply have relays connected to controller. One is on non Gen powered circuit, monitors hydro the other is on the Gen circuit. They are program to send push notifications.
  4. As an HC800 owner since 2012 that's great news. Now what's a colour wheel ?
  5. I use their water sensors and water shutoff valve. Chose the wifi models because found no advantage to incorporate to C4 and easier when selling property. They have geofencing in app for the shutoff vale. Works well. I don't use it as such but have trialed it. Prefer selecting it off on my own remotely.
  6. Automate your automation ......... somebody please wear my pants !
  7. Pardon my ignorance but I have not seen all the changes to the forum you are all talking about. I guess its my browser, will try another
  8. I wish I could do that much. Cant turn on anything. Tried simplest room I have , the garage. All that's associate is lights. Watch shows garage light on or off. Press nothing ..... Have other rooms show up and only the buttons created show up, and they have no effect with the watch requested action. Oh well a watch is to tell time right !
  9. Guess the only way to add subscriptions is via dealer ? The only choice I get on C4 site is auto-renew
  10. As far as getting a dubious ( counterfeit ) better not be as these where bought directly from Amazon ...... but then again !!!!! Hopefully off to winter home and will order on US Amazon ( better price anyway ) test and bring north or not.
  11. Thats exactly why I bought them ..... very disappointed.
  12. Did not want to start another .... Got 2 TP-Link H103 plug ins. I got these because of some of the positive comments. I just returned them after spending a couple of days watching these things operating at their own will. Select on and after several minutes just decide to turn off. A schedule is but a joke. I know the first thing that will be mentioned is my network. I have a solid network supporting all the usual devices with no issues. If a cheap little gizmo like the TP-Link plugins puts my network in question .... I got rid of them. Adding insult to injury I had ordered the 105 model on Amazon and got the 103. Easy return and refund. I guess you get what you pay for ! Just my 2 cents. Cheers
  13. Pardon what is probably a stupid question but can these be added to an older system HC800 with older dimmer and switch models. Thanks
  14. Have been using Ecobee in both my residences and work and perform well. Really don't know what he means by quality issues. Of course its not an American product
  15. Mine has a delay of 15 seconds. The limiting factor was the number of battery backup outlets. The Cyber Power is 300w rated. Have router and AP and switch. Tripp Lite is 1500W and handles HC800, service provider fibre optic modem and TV box and other small draw equipment.
  16. I have had a Generator for last 10 years and using Tripp Lite and Cyber Power. Added the last one to off load the Tripp Lite in order to support whole rack. Needed more outlets. Both prove to be trouble free, Cyber Power was cheaper at the time of purchase.
  17. I don't have to wait. APP is running all the time and is as quick as my old C4 screen.JUst checked installed 24/09/2019. No battery issues.!
  18. Having my screen on 100% seems to do the job, with battery low power charging there has been no battery issue so far and at $60 a pop sure is cheaper.
  19. Used one for 2 years now. Fast. Have app to keep screen on at all times.
