Pretty sure the Control4 IRC channel was advertised in here back in the day as well (or maybe this forum was announced on the IRC channel, it happened pretty early)...
Discord is today's IRC channel.  It'll probably be just as popular.

Maybe read the definition of Obstreperous, its not an insult or meant for shame.  Your were being a bit unreasonable with the OP.

I have nothing to do with the OP but I don't think you can call a Discord CHAT a competitor to a forum... They are two very different platforms with one being a live chat room for all intent and purpose.  Many other forums I'm on have both, because again they are very different and used for different reasons. 
Now will a discord channel take off? No clue, my guess is no but again not even close to a competition.

its not a competition... just helpful to have another avenue that has a mobile app and real time responses ON TOP of online forums... 

Level of quantum confusion is reached, Vince account posts that Vince isn't here anymore, which can mean multiple meanings, then someone posts that he "passed away", which doesn't contradicts the post made by Vinces' account and now Vinces' account posts that he alive and well - damn I need a strong drink now to get that sorted , sadly I am at work and alcohol isn't allowed...

DO NOT tell me I have to pay $800+ now in order to get my Apple TV 4k's to work with my SR260's now.... that would be utterly absurd...my HC800 works perfectly with my small system... 

So I need to spend $800 to get my damn remotes working??? that is a load of bs.... 

I can tell you that it works with my ATV 4K’s running tvOS 13 and my HC800 with OS3.1  

Yes, but i have all the ATV's in a rack in one location so i just went back to IR's to each.... I stuck them to the devices... the IR eye goes just left of the power light on front. 

Oh no.  I also upgraded my AppleTV's to the new OS and now my C4 remotes don't work them.
