I 100% disagree.
I worked for free back in 2008 just to learn.  I worked nights in law enforcement, and worked during the day with a couple of C4 dealers at the time.  This turned into a full time job, which turned into another full time job, which turned into running a company, which led to software emphasis, which led to Engineering, which led to me making nearly triple what I did starting off in this business.  This also allowed me to give back to the C4 community that I came from.
 
Just because you trade your time for experience, doesn't make you a chump.  There are always multiple pathways to a destination, and not everyone is so one-dimensional.  Granted, I didn't ultimately end up in AV or Custom Integration, but looking back, I'd do it all over again, best decision I ever made.
 
TLDR:  You make your own path.

I've spoken to tech 3 times over the course of a year and so far they haven't come up with anything yet.  Give them a shout and see if you can get anywhere.

If you're able to get yourself a copy of parallels for the mac, you can either purchase a Composer HE lifetime licence from a dealer (Composer Media Edition is built into it) OR if your Control4 OS is 3.1 or lower, you can download just Composer ME for free.  All the OS's higher than 3.1 no longer offer a standalone Composer ME.  It's only available with Composer HE.

I see your point.  I'm just using the preconfigured DAKBoard template and the url works fine once it's loaded.  The clock displays the seconds and it never misses a number on the T3.  I suppose if you created your own fancy template and if it was really busy then maybe not everything would fit on a T3 or update as nicely compared to viewing on a monitor or a TV.

If you had Control4 touch screens, you could insert your DAKBoard url in the Generic URL driver from Blackwire.  It may display a bit small on a 7" ts but it works!

I would expect the driver to officially be released today. The driver requires a new Amazon fire TV experience which was just released to more devices today. 

For best pairing results, the lock needs to be fairly close and if it's used then it needs to be factory reset (or at least unpaired from the previous system).

You can do that yourself with OS3 on the C4 mobile or tablet app by pressing and holding the netflix and amazon prime icon until you see and click the pop up "Favorite to Room"

Then you would need a dealer to add those mini apps so that you can "favorite" them to the main menu.

Wait!  There's more!  I did some testing. 
Select your playlist in the mobile Spotify app and play it. 
Now go to the C4 app and SELECT the large music icon (top left) of the music (the playlist you just started in the Spotify mobile app) that is currently playing in the room.
Look towards the right of the word Queue and select the 3 horizontal lines icon.
Save New Preset.  Rename it if you wish and click "Go" on the pop up keyboard.\
Now click the Spotify icon in the C4 app and your preset should be there.
Select your preset and an option to Favorite To Room will be there.
Done.

Select the Spotify Connect icon in the C4 app.  Any presets that show up there can be selected for "Favorite To Room"
