  1. @alanchow - it appears that every optima one reboots the director, one needs to re-enter ones Pushover detail (username and password). Is there a way to avoid this?
  2. Thanks Alan... I will double check with my dealer (although I’d be surprised if he was running a driver with my login details I’ll also monitor and fiddle for the next few weeks and see if I can figure out what is happening.
  3. Definitely a great companion to C4rather than a competition... Hopefully all this development will make them a better companion to C4 (e.g. by allowing C4 to identify which Echo sends it input).
  4. This has been one of my favorite drivers for the last year! However, since updating to OS2.10 and the driver central version of the driver (admittedly I did both within 24 hours of each other so I am not sure which change caused the issue), I have found that this driver stops working every couple of days. It seems to be the Pushover connection that breaks. It is an easy (but irritating) fix. All that we do to fix it is re-enter my Pushover details and hey presto everything works again. Is anyone else ( @alanchow ) experiencing the same problem? I am wondering if this is some sort of timeout due to lack of use; however, if so, it must be quite a short time out as we use the driver to open our blinds every morning and close them every night (I.e. twice a day every day). We also use it for triggering playlists etc. but that is not quite as regular / frequent. I did find that I had a similar problem previously (when the driver was first launched) with the driver losing connections if not used for 1 or 2 weeks. Thus every time we went away on holiday, we came back and had to re-enter our Pushover details. We fixed this by having the driver send out a message to IFTTT twice a week when the system is in holiday mode and IFTTT return a message to C4 on receipt of this. I am wondering if I should try doing this once every 6 hours... not sure if it will fix the problem and also not a clean fix if it does!
  5. I see that my drivers (DriverCentral) have all updated today but could not see anything different. I assume that means that a dealer is needed to add a new driver?
  6. Sounds great... will this appear as a separate driver (like chunk.io was) or as part of your email driver?
  7. That sounds really great! Will there be more functionality on this than with the current drivers? Any idea when the IntelliCenter will be available?
  8. Have you tried dropping the advanced audio setting by one level?
  9. Rats... this is rather frustrating. So I second the support for you developing a service to replace chunk.io My dealer updated all my Chowmain drivers and a couple of others to DriverCentral... took him a good couple of hours. The IFTTT Maker driver stalled after he did the updates and is currently not working. Is there a known issue? My dealer will be back tomorrow and I am missing some of my Alexa control (Alexa, trigger fix this driver please).
  10. Every now and then I get really confused and feel like I must be missing something obvious!
  11. Only a couple more days until more great innovation from Control4
  12. But I suspect you may well see OS2.10 released next week...If you wait a week, I am sure someone will be happy to post screenshots of that...
  13. I think that @alanchow has a driver that links to some sort of monitoring system. Automation itself should not increase your energy usage so doubling sounds like a real problem somewhere!
  14. If you ever get some form of integration, please do let me know!
  15. I have written a macro (long time back) with variables that allows me to pretty much do what your driver does (it is quite neat - probably not quite as simple as your driver - and I simply add three lines of code every time I add a new device (other than an SR260 which is more complex) with a battery needing monitored and hey presto I have everything working). I had the same problem as you have with the SR260 but did find a work around. Talking from memory (and this was over a year ago, so I may have things slight wrong here but it might point you in a useful direction), if I simply pulled the battery level at any point in time it would almost always show 100% unless I had recently clicked the driver in Composer. However, I did find that the level updated from time to time (normally in the middle of the night - not sure why). What I did was use another variable as the SR260 battery level for my purposes and when ever the battery level changed to something other than 100% (like I say this happened at least once a day from recollection), I stored the battery level in my new variable and I used this as my actual battery level rather than the native C4 variable. It does mean that the information is always a few hours outdated but not a serious issue for this purpose,
  16. And no, that would not be solo extra curricular activity before anyone jumps back on that band wagon!
  17. To close this discussion off for anyone interested... I bought a Tempur mattress but not the base so I am not integrating (trying to integrate) to C4 at present. When we complete building our beach house next year, I may buy the full bed for down at the coast as it would be cool to tell Alexa to "turn on today" and have the blinds open and the bed move you into a seating position so one can see the sea... In terms of sleep, the mattress is phenomenal and while we've only had it a few days, extra curricular activity has been great.
  18. Thanks everyone... This thread has gone in a totally different direction than intended That said, thanks for all the advice! I have ordered a Tempurpedic mattress today. Not the whole bed, so I won't be able to try and integrate it into C4... I may do that as phase 2... I will try and remember to report back on how well I sleep...
  19. Thanks for recommendation... looks like I will be ordering one on Monday... Intersting... I see that the company trades as Tempur in South Africa and Tempurpedic in the USA - I am sure there is a story there!
  20. I'm looking at buying a Tempur bed... the salesman did a good sales job on me today. Has anyone integrated one of their bed systems into Control4? For that matter are Tempur mattresses that good that they justify the price tag?
  21. Another option (if you are using a security system and driver that supports groups - e.g. DSC) is to create a group that includes all the relevant doors and windows. When the group is activated (one open) you turn off the air con (or, if you want a 5 minute delay, use a timer and now check if the timer is running, if not start the timer - when the timer expires turn off the aircon) and when it is deactivated (all closed) you turn the aircon back on (and stop the timer if you are using one). You (actually your dealer) can also link the group to an Experience button that will show you if anything is open or if everything is closed...
  22. Pentair app is great! The only reason I use the C4 integration is for fun (definitely not necessary) and to schedule heat pumps (pool and jacuzzi) to go off and on when I am away on holiday and set a holiday variable to true or false in C4. All other scheduling is easier and better from within the Pentair app itself. There are two drivers for Pentair integration into C4. The free one (has a couple of bugs but does the job) and a Driverworks one (I think). I had my dealer try and buy the latter one months ago but he never managed, so I have no idea if it is any good. As far as I know both require Intellitouch (as mentioned above).
