I tried advertise to buy a couple before as well with no luck, then realized through others I shouldn’t need them due to the new Amazon driver as I was going to use them for Fire TV boxes. Unfortunately I’m also back to IRUSB as the Fire TV driver seems to lose control randomly requiring a reboot to regain control. Personally I just said screw it and bought them for full price from the IRUSB site.

Aight annoyed. Happening on all 6 of my devices now. Guess it’s time to switch back to IRUSB. It’s a shame, this driver fulfills my needs otherwise…when it works.

Looks like I have the same issue. Works great for awhile and then it stops until I reboot the FireTV device. I just upgraded all 6 of my Fire TVs (2nd Gen 4k box and 1st Gen Cubes) to the 2nd Gen Fire TV Cubes. Currently on sale for $20 off totaling $99 pre tax in all the stores that carry them. So far the C4 driver with these new devices is super fast. We will see if I have the same issues with it eventually going from working to not working and requiring a reboot of the FireTV device.

Yeah. I’ve got 6 FireTVs in the configuration. I’ve noticed on a reboot it takes 20 or so secs before it will start working with C4. Grabbing the original remote hasn’t fixed it for me this far. Only a reboot when it happens. Glad it’s not only me. I migrated to this driver from IRUSB devices.

When the driver works it’s great, but I keep having an issue where it will work and then just stop working until I reboot the FireTV. Has anyone else seen this? When Control4 stops working with the device, I can grab the actual FireTV remote and it still work.

I’ve been using ShairBridge originally on an EA3 and now on an EA5. Works great. I’ve had zero issues with it.

Well then that would explain why others are looking for other solutions. Driver has been solid for me, sucks it isn’t available for others.

I have 4 - Liftmaster 8500w openers, and am fully functional in C4 with no added hardware. I’ve always been perplexed by these threads with folks soldering in relays and what not. I think I had an issue one time when liftmaster changed something and then I switched to a different/newer driver. Has been solid. Cinegration Garage - Liftmaster MyQ is the driver I’ve been using.

Same. Although mine with a FireTV Cube. It was sending remote commands and turning off my TV after I was watching for about 10 min. Took me like 4 hours to finally realize someone programmed the smart remote features of FireTV after I ripped everything else apart one by one. Was a stressful day and then one of those ahh ha moments.

I’d suggest reach out to one of these remote programmers. They will probably offer themselves up. @msgreenf and @chopedogg88 are ones I’ve worked with before. Lots of others around too. If something just like an ip needs to change, or a zigbee channel, which is most likely the case it, would be much cheaper to do that than to have your dealer come on site.

Word. Yeah I have 2 TVs that I’m leveraging the LAN port on the Baluns vs running another wire. It was definitely a life saver feature.

Good to know. Do the AVPro ones also offer a Lan port?

With the heat wave on the east coast we have been experiencing power flickers. Not enough for my generator to auto transfer though. Realized today that after this week I lost 3 - LU1E baluns during that time. I have all my gear on a surge protector, but not a UPS. Luckily I had 3 spare LU1E, so a quick power off of the matrix and LU1E swap fixed all 3 devices. Sucks though as I thought I was sitting pretty with 3 back up LU1E baluns, which now my backup supply is fully depleted. Sigh….guess I need to invest is some UPS now. Rant over.

I have both Sunbrite and Seura TVs. I find my Sunbrite to be more responsive to commands than the Seura, although the actual software on both TVs looks exactly the same, but otherwise they both work great. I have the lower end models of both. Would not recommend the lower end models if there is a lot of direct sunlight though.

Have a FireTV Cube. Finding the driver works, then eventually it stops working. Meaning the controller commands just stop responding. They continue to respond with the actual Fire Tv remote, so the box itself isn’t hung. Rebooting the FireTV cube does resolve the issue. Has anyone else had any issues with it? My IP for the FireTV is a static/reserved IP.

I modified the YouTube kids driver to at least work on a Amazon device again.

I made one for Fire TV also, but where Id like to see it working is on Samsung Smart TVs. Not sure how to get the serviceID for a Samsung TV to do the call through LUA. Maybe someone knows how to get that?

Looks like they broke YouTube Kids. Previously it worked for Fire TV and prior to 2021 Samsung TVs. Now it works for neither. Wonder if this was a mistake/oversight or on purpose. Id love to see a universal driver for SoPlayer and DS Video.

I doubt it. C4 hasn’t updated these matrixes in years. The firmware has been the same forever. I really wish they would do an update though.
