I had a Monster 1x2 splitter that is supposed to do 4k. It was like $30. Looks like all my sources (Xbox series X, fios cable boxes and NVR) are working. What’s not working is my 4k FireTV Cube. Going to play with it some more and see if I can get the FireTV to work.

Never used EA1 V2 for sale. Would like to get $300. Will include free shipping for inside the US.

Looking at buying a Samsung Frame for a bathroom setup. Was looking at putting the TV over the toilet. Source would be run off a LU1082. Then I started to think, if someone is going numero 2 they won’t be able to see the TV. I have a side wall that could be a good spot. You would just have to look to the side wall to see the TV when using the bathroom. However then I thought do I really want drunk guys looking sideways while going numero 1? So now I’m thinking about having 2 TVs, but I only have one output left on my LU1082. Was wondering if anyone has experience with HDMI splitters that would be rated up to 4k that could provide AV to both TVs if I were to do 2 TVs. Or if there is a better way than what I’m currently thinking.

Yep I do this as well. Only problem I have with doing this in my setup is source volume. Meaning when I put the source on Cable box, I have to turn the volume way up. When I have it on Pandora or Shairbridge, I don’t have to turn it up as loud. It will work, but for my setup I just have to remember if I switch from video audio to audio source off my EA, to turn the volume down first or the EA audio source will be super loud.

Any feedback on the how playing around with the a media wall agent is going? I’m super looking forward to this. When the old Multi Screen driver stopped working with the switch from 2.x to 3.0, it really threw off my basement setup for sporting events.

I have the triad garden array with 8 speakers and an inground sub around my 20x40 pool and 2800sqft patio. Absolutely love it. Get tons of compliments. Speakers are powered by a Crown amp.

I purchased Sivoia QS shades (battery powered) with two Pico remotes and a Smart Bridge Pro from Paul@hankselectric.net. His pricing was great, and they easily integrated with C4 and Alexa. Was way cheaper than the Serena I was looking at on Lutron site.

Your original remotes will continue to work and light switches will work. Not sure really on the second question, but I’d ask your potential dealer how much they charge to keep the system up to date. Depending on their answer you might find the guys who do remote dealer actions on this site are way cheaper. My original dealer was over $100 an hr for any remote programming, even for something simple. You can save a ton working with folks here.

Which one do you have now? I’ve had all the LU matrixes from C4 and I’m on Verizon as well. I had an issue one time where I was getting black screens from the 4 fios boxes I had in the setup, but I think it was something fios did with an update. It’s been pretty solid for the last 2 years though.

Rebooted controller and was able to relink again.

All my Alexa controls when to not responding today. Unlinked the skill, and tried to re-enable it. However now it tells me there was a problem when I try to re-enable. Anyone else having issues?

Question now is when can we expect the update?

Finally a video wall configuration again. When the previous driver broke after going to OS3, that really sucked for my basement setup. Glad to see this feature come back although implemented very differently it seems than the old driver. Can’t wait to give it a whirl vs going to all these “fake” rooms to manage my video wall.

Here is a thread ive had before where folks recommended some others you could use, but you will lose other features most likely. Example you will potentially have to plug a different balun into a wall outlet for power and if you are using the LAN port on the LU1E, you won’t have that option on another balun. With that said, I’ve bought a lot of used LU1E with pretty good success. I know it can be a personal preference to buy new, which is cool, but figured I’d mention it.

Should be able to just get a new balun. LU1E are getting a little harder to find these days, but there are other baluns that will work too. Just make sure when you swap the balun, you unplug you Video Matrix and plug it back in once all the connections are made.

Always good to have a few extras as well. So don’t be shy about over buying. We had some crazy power fluctuations for over a week and I had 3 die. Put a UPS on my Matrix now so hopefully wont run into that again.

There is a FB Control 4 Users group if you don’t hear anything here. I connected with a guy there who had a set with a mix of new and used ones he was willing to part with. I didn’t end up buying from him, but is another option. Might also want to try moving your post the the wanted/sell portion of this forum. Might get more eyes.

Hey everyone, Curious on what options are really available or what people are doing with Phillips Hue integration in C4. Like what can be done with the lights in C4 vs third party app. I currently have a room where I have about 12 or so recessed lights. It’s basically like a hosting room with a bar and so forth. All the lights are Hue bulbs and the switch is a C4 on/off switch. Currently I just use C4 to do just that, turn the lights on/off. Outside of C4 I use a third party app called Thorlight. This allows me to pick all kinds of various color options when using the Hue lights, as well as picking animation scenes that come out of the box. Think fading between various colors, the lights chasing each other, strobe affect, and the list goes on and on. Curious if I can actually integrate Thorlight into C4 or if I can replace what Thorlight does with C4 by the drivers available for Philips Hue in C4 or a similar driver that might be available. My current assumption is I can have C4 set the bulbs to a certain color, but beyond that it would take a lot of programming to get similar affects to what I get from Thorlight out of the box.

While I would love to have everything integrated into C4 like I did before, it’s seems for how I use the garage doors (I have 4 openers) and 1 driveway gate I’m only really losing the ability to control them with voice commands. I personally didn’t have much programming outside of voice that the Liftmaster app doesn’t actually provide on its own. Of course I know everyone is different though on that aspect. Still hope one day the two companies can get their stuff together.

The modified remotes. Are you just relying on battery for those remotes or hardwiring a power source for them as well?
