How come you’re sticking with your isp router? Is there any particular reason for this?

I would advise to change this to another router.

    I’m a mikrotik man

In terms of plugging everything in.

I would go router —> switch —> devices

My personal preference is to daisy chain switches

I like to use managed switches (I use either cisco or mikrotik)

One setting to look out for is multicast traffic this must be enabled on routers and switches to make sure Control4 works properly.

Second piece of advice - if you have network cameras put them onto a separate subnet otherwise you’ll just flood your main network for no reason with all the UDP multicast traffic coming from the cameras constantly streaming.

    I hope that helps you

P.s this is just my opinion and the way I do things and what works for me, I know it many not be right to some people and I might get cussed but networks always seem to be a very touchy subject.

I personally turn off confirm room off, so it works like the SR260...

Thank you. I think it is a misconfiguration between the version of the control4 system and HE. I downgraded HE and everything is back to normal.

most streaming service have the transport controls built into the app themselves. so using the navigation arrows ( up, down, left, right) oh and select (ok, enter, etc) to select the transport controls in the apps is the idea.. On the neeo standard templates are used for devices and from what I understand you cant add button or it is above my experience to do so
edit: I do see roku has full navigation on the neeo.. IMO by far the easiest streaming device to use with c4... I was blown away when I added a new channel to my device and the mini app auto populated on the neeo

Mitch is right.  Your new router has a different IP scheme (or the Denon was on a DHCP reservation that was in the old router.  He can help you fix it. Lesson learned - never change anything in your network without your dealer being involved.

Your IP likely changed on the Denon and needs to be updated in c4. Message me. Happy to help you remotely

either a shorted speaker wire or a bad amp. A bad amp is more likely, but I would check the speaker wires.

You can set up a custom button in HE and then add programming to the button event for up/down, left/right.

If that was the case, I'm sure everyone would build desktops with high specs and use virtual director instead of a controller and then nobody would buy controllers and the CA10 wouldn't be sellable at all...

Without one, you're pretty much limited on what you can do to guessing. So I'd look to get a controller asap.

It is coming.  It was delayed due to the fact that sliders on the Neeo firmware didn't support the tap left/right for volume (like the T3), which turned out to be more important than some of us had anticipated...

I'm not promising release date, but it should be soon, and hopefully will be worth the wait.

-defunct- got a reaction from PorterTX in Force order of audio streams used?
Minimum sample rate is 48khz/24 bit.
I believe the max limit drops from 192khz/24bit when there are over a certain number of connections per a controller. I believe the EA5 drops to 96khz/24bit max when three outputs are used on it. Two outputs I believe stays at 192khz/24bit and you could keep it that high and have four outputs if you had two EA5s.
That being said, I think Qobuz, Tidal, and Amazon Music HD hardly ever go above 48khz/24bit.

Depends on your audio source. If you use one of the HiRes services, then potentially. Amazon Music HD, Tidal HiFi, and Qobuz.

Sounds like a good idea!  I am a newbie and not an installer, so didn't know about this.  Is this already included in the C4 suite of drivers or do I need to install?
    Thanks Dunamivora!

Why not use a Universal Mini App driver?
Makes it so you can select Netflix, Youtube, or any of the supported apps on a few different devices (e.g. Roku) and everything automatically switches correctly.

I've heard some people say that the command "rm -Rf /*" configured there Triad One. Now I'm not saying that would work. In fact I'm definitely saying it won't work--and you probably shouldn't try it. But that's what some people are saying.

    Replace the AN300 with a Pakedge RK-1.

Replace Eero with the new Pakedge WA-4200s or get Ruckus.

That should resolve the issues you see with speed.

Personally I would tend to use the  Room Control driver, add the stations you want as presets within the Room Control driver and then assign the keypad buttons to recall those presets.

I read that the versions only work backwards and that new versions still need the latest Composer (it just works backwards).
