Anyone running C4 Android app in Windows 11 Subsystem for Android?

I haven't seen any discussion here yet, and I have yet to set up a Win 11 system - has anyone tried this yet?  Does it work properly.  Seems like it could be a better solution than something like Bluestacks which has a lot of adware/crapware.  FYI this still appears to be in beta:

I use Bluestacks as well, it works but as I mentioned in the OP it has a lot of crapware/adware and the UI is very game-centric.  It took me a while to realize the tab that says "My Games" really means "My Apps".  So I am looking forward to having more of a native implementation within Windows.

They are implementing WSA - Windows Subsystem for Android which is analagous to WSL, Windows Subsystem for Linux which is getting pretty good and allows you to run most Linux stuff in kind of a native VM under Windows.

That's kind of annoying that it is US only.  I wonder what the rationale is for that?  Doesn't make sense from the context that Android's market share is way higher outside of the US than in the US so there is more need for Android apps outside of the US.

I suspect it's because they use the Amazon store, so maybe it's a licencing agreement /politics  thing more than anything. Not sure when we're getting it

Thanks. But tried this shortly after launch and procedure didn't work properly. Also, figured it would simply be best to use blue stacks until proper integration is available (to eliminate any other unwanted flow on effects in the future).

Microsoft should simply release it worldwide though.

you may have to manually enable the VM platform in add remove features.

Yeah.. I had all the dependencies enabled.. Was in development mode, etc. the correct file simply didn't show in the list.. But either way, I think it's better I wait until it's official.

I'll be extremely disappointed if it doesn't go international on the first release (at least for countries without export restrictions)

Did you pull the side load apk from what device? I can't get it to load on mine. But then again I find the asl to be finicky overall. I'm in dev channel

I got it from apkmonk.   Give it a shot, it's actually quite great!

Has anybody got this to work *without 4sight*? We don't have 4sight right now and it won't connect without. Have got it running (yeah) on a win11 beta channel system. It logins and starts pulling all the properties but doesn't finish b/c requires 4sight. I'm guessing it sees the android stack on a different IP and thus assumes it isn't on the same home network. Any way to change the IP range that the android stack uses? Also, I tried adding the android IP CIDR to allowed networks but that didn't change the outcome.

Welcome options from the community.

Thanks!
