I have fears intrinsic isn't doing any updates. They've also been working on Tesla driver for at least 6 mo.

I highly doubt they were beta testing in the time window they said they were or else it would have been released 

Well the inevitable had happen, one of my kids mistakenly pushed update as this f;)$&n nagging message appears every once and a while and my Shiny 🍏 📺 is on 15.1 now, obviously I had to go to IR as am on HC800 and I don’t think we will see the IP driver updated anytime 🔜 no 📰 is not encouraging …

I'm not super familiar with some of the detail settings as I don't use an ATV personally (and thus also can't test right this moment) but I believe those two functions are in the driver, under guide and info (maybe * or # - again can't check right this moment)
 
If they're in fact not there - then yes perhaps an IP driver is needed. But if the IP driver constantly requires 'work' or some sort ... well than to me it becomes a limitation of the device.
 
Like I said, I PREFER IP over IR as a blank statement - provided it's a consistently WORKING driver.
If it doesn't then I'd look at alternative devices or setups for the function desired, vs trying to make a device work for the desired function (just as an example, if you want 3 users for an appletv at each of 10 TVs,  it may make more sense to have 3 apple TVs centrally with a switch and they're named after the user). In an ideal world this isn't required of course...but unless you find the portal to that world 😏

Now that you are beta testing, any update on GA release?   I have two Apple TV's that family members have accidentally upgraded so I am now back to the pain of using Apple remotes to control the apple tv and the C4 remote for everything else.

No it won’t, upgrade no worries at all!

That is good to hear after tvOS 13 debacle I am reluctant to try. 

Really? Virtually every third party driver that I use has an auto update option.

I love my dealer, but I don't want him to burdened with having to constantly ping me whether or not I want/need an update. He's too busy. Can I get on this list for the new update coming up?
I've noticed those fringe cases with Intrinsic tend to resolve themselves with a restart of the my C4 controller, and THEN, a restart of the Apple TV I am dealing with. One particular Apple TV in my house tends to have this fringe case happen a lot -- it's the most used Apple TV as well -- so, I'd guess it's the controller not keeping up with whatever I've just done to the home network.

Control4 doesn't show at CES, that's not really an industry show.
Because of this, Control4's early year announcements are usually more centered on ISE (Integrated Systems Europe), which is 11-14 February, in the RAI in Amsterdam, although I believe it's moving to Barcelona Spain next year.
It's a huge show, basically Infocomm + CEDIA, for all of Europe.

True - but apparently last year's CES included a meeting between the CEOs of C4 and SnapAV that led to the acquisition of C4 by SnapAV.  Have to think that this year will be less eventful.
