Our EA3 processor is on: c4firmware Version 3.3.3.660628-res
I recently asked my dealer to update the firmware and the dealer advised against updating the firmware because - apparently - none of the changes in the firmware pertain to the Halo remote and the dealer is opposed to doing firmware updates remotely.
Note: in addition to having issues with intermittent delayed response to Halo Touch commands (which can be temporarily resolved by rebooting the Halo Touch), our system occasionally ends up in a state where there is little or no ability to control it via the Halo Touch or the C4 iPhone application. I have found that the only solution to resolve the complete loss of control is to reboot our EA3 processor. I've taken this up with our dealer and their response was "it must be your network". However, we are not experiencing any evident network issues and the inability to control our system is only resolved by rebooting the EA3; i.e. rebooting network devices (e.g. WAP, switch, router, doesn't help at all) - the inability to control is only resolved by rebooting the EA3. The dealer has not done any troubleshooting; blaming the problems on our network is, in my opinion, jumping to conclusions and a blame game.
Do you recommend that I pursue an update to the EA3 firmware?
Yes. I would update to 3.4.0

Support for sending ECP commands from within a Roku channel application has been discontinued"…..
"In addition, ECP commands may not be sent from 3rd-party platforms (for example, mobile applications).
No, that was discontinued last year, they don't want Roku Channels (Aka Apps) sending keyboard commands...

Apr 3, 15:20 EDT
Scheduled - We are scheduling a maintenance window on April 8, 2024, from 01:00am ET to 02:00am ET. This one-hour period is essential as we upgrade our infrastructure to enhance system performance and maintain the highest security standards.
This maintenance will involve backend upgrades, focusing on streamlining our database systems for improved efficiency and reliability; the outcome will be a more robust and secure Control4 experience for all our users.
Impact on services will include:
Intercom Anywhere: Possible call degradation or unavailability
Remote Connectivity: Systems on C4OS 3.2.3 or later will operate without interruption. Older systems may experience longer load times.
Push Notifications/ Email: Systems on C4OS 3.2.3 or later will operate without interruption. Older systems may experience longer load times
Alexa and Google Voice Integration: No issues expected for systems on C4OS 3.2.3 or later. Systems on earlier versions may encounter performance delays.
Composer Pro: Remote connections may be slower during the update period.
We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this update and aim to minimize any potential disruption to your operations. We value your understanding and cooperation as we enhance our systems for better performance and security.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in Control4.
Sincerely,

There are 2 ways to do this:
1) time the door and delay X seconds then stop the door
2) place a sensor mid-door on rain and then stop when that sensor is hit

Roku is broken for all control platforms but randomly. Roku is returning a 401 unauthorized when the EPC commands are issued. This impacts all control systems. But not all devices. EPC will work again. But right now Roku is trying to understanding what is broken.
Control4 has a thread where they are tracking this. If you have a serial number I can add to the broken list please message me.
@AtlantaSteven - what it means is the update in Roku OS 12.5 (which came out in September) is that a Roku channel can’t issue EPC commands. Meaning a Roku app can’t control itself. Control systems will work again

Epc is no longer allowed from a Roku channel. But epc isn't going away

Identified - Numerous cases have been reported in the last few days of the loss of control of Roku devices through the Control4 system. There have not been any changes to the Roku driver recently and we currently leverage the published APIs by Roku, so we believe this is tied to a recent software update deployed by Roku. A Roku developer forum thread is also pointing to the same issue View the full article -

Ok…I did that and how long should it take to go through the process? Anything else I need to do or should it establish network connection on its own. Thanks for the info.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt should take 3-4 minutes tops and it should get a DHCP IP
