  1. it is called 'mi casa verde zwave set level blind (2.9+)' and the actual file is blind_zwave_2_9+.c4i
  2. i have deployed a similar configuration and there is an updated vera shade driver that lets you get % control from within control4, doesn't do anything for alexa due to the problems mentioned above, but you atleast have that level of control from within control4.
  3. i don't want to hijack this, but is there a way to set blinds with lighting scenes? or any type of scene? in situations where you have multiple blinds and you want them to open and close in sync?
  4. I second the above, on getting a device specifically designed around monitoring cars (there is magentic sensor ones that you bury, and IR "Birdhouses" that can create a tripline) a Camera is not a very effective way to do this, and i wouldn't replace the camera they already have. I have a very similar setup with Luma cameras, and while i can trigger an event in C4 when something crosses, a TON of false positives happening. Cameras detect motion by contract change. This means that if you have a shadow of a tree on your driveway, thats motion. if the wind blows that tree, thats motion. even on the least sensitive settings. A motion detecting camera is the least effective device to monitor this type of movement. get a proper motion detector, or somethingg specific for vehicles.
  5. according to ovrc all of this equipment is on latest firmware, i'll call support today if i can get back out there, if not i'll do it next week, don't think its feasible to try to debug remotely for me. i'd like to be on site.
  6. ok, i appreciate that, i think the point of this post was to understand whether the issue was configuration related, or whether it was director power, etc so i think it helps to know people with similar configs are not having the same issues, appreciate all the feedback. some stuff thats come to light since i posted this. because all of my cameras are wired directly into the dvr, and my dvr is only connected by 1 gigabit link to my network, i'm essentially funneling all of the camera bandwidth through a single gigabit line to control4 (even though every camera has its own dedicated gigabit line connected to the dvr) i'd imagine this configuration is standard, but is this a concern? realistically i'm only pulling data from one camera at a time, but when i load the 'cameras' page on the t3, and i pull a thumbnail for each camera, some of those fail (wondering if this is bandwidth?) also, is there a spot in the logs where i can view this connectivity? i.e when i go to load a camera on a t3, it will spin for a bit, sometimes my camera image shows up, other times it will time out, and i'll get a no camera feed icon. I'd like to track this by reviewing the logs, to see if there is some error or failed connection between the camera and c4, but i can't find where this would be tracked. I checked the logs on the t3 itself via sysman, but i didn't see anything, there isn't anything in the driver lua for the camera, even with debug on. so i'm not sure where i'd see this, assuming director is just passing the url of the feed to my t3, and is not actually processing any video.
  7. yeah i'm running the cams through this LUM-501-NVR-8CH
  8. Are you loading from the cameras direct? Or through an NVR?
  9. i have a little bit, is there a very specific substream codec/resolution that c4 prefers for best compatibility?
  10. if its a controller bandwidth/processor power thing, i can totally accept that, it really helps to see an actual reason to upgrade, versus 'this new one is 'faster'' that being said, probably won't be getting a ca10
  11. reviewing/overhauling security, and noticed that bringing up cameras on t3 touchscreens (via programming or just by menu) seems to be kinda slow. sometimes the camera doesn't load at all, sometimes it loads fine. Is there something i'm missing here? Network connections are solid, tested speed between devices, everything is wired. cameras are snapav luma ip cameras. i notice in my driver, that i cannot connect to the camera via rstp, only the test buttons work for snapshot/mjpeg, but would assume i'm pulling mjpeg anyway. anyone have any ideas on what i can check? or is this just pretty standard?
  12. i switched to the snapav episode 16 channel (8-zone) and really never looked back, even C4 is moving away from having the audio switch/amp be the same device.
  13. i believe there is an additional unit required , but it is possible to have a mitsubishi mini split managed entirely through an external thermostat, which can than be integrated directly into c4. we have used this configuration twice, and it worked both times (one nest, one c4 thermostat)
  14. Does anyone have experience with these devices/tunebridge app? I have clients asking for this coming out of the recent Sonos changes, I know it's owned by SnapAV now which makes me feel more comfortable about integration etc. I can call Snap support, but was wondering if there was an unbiased review first. Some of the questions i've been asking myself, that i haven't found in the documentation are as follows: 1. Any out of the box support for voice control? It still seems incredibly difficult to beat/replace sonos in this area. "Google, play David Bowie in the living room" and getting this to actually play out of a distributed device, in the proper location, Alexa is equally as popular. 2. I looked at the 15Wx8 channel Amp (AU-M-120E) and it seems pretty underpowered for distributed media. Normally in our installs we're using 100W /channel or at the least 50w /channel amps. We generally install pretty decent speakers, and maybe some of these installs are overkill , i don't have a great way to measure it, but 15W seems incredibly low. It's a fairly significant investment, so i don't want to source a system for someone and find out that its just too weak overall. This is just bedroom distributed audio. 3. Latency, Seems like there is a method to feed tv audio back into the system, but since it is all network based, would there be major desync issues with using it as a video's audio source? appreciate the help guys.
  15. you can, but you need an irusb device from videostorm. There are probably other ways, but that is the most supported method for that driver.
  16. Jason, I actually have a question about this product, and i can open a support ticket, but since others might benefit here i'll post anyway. I've noticed that when using the nvidia shield, some of the control4 remote buttons (sr250) don't map to the the appropriate android buttons. i'm using the guide here https://elementalx.org/button-mapper/android-key-codes/ specifically info, and guide on the shield (through irusb) don't seem to map to 165 (info) ,172 (guide) respectively, was this intentional? maybe i'm missing something.
  17. i'll take a stab here as i just went through a bedroom remodel and its a similar configuration master bedroom - main door Overhead Lights Blinds Fan Room Off (this is a 3 space button and is consistent with other room offs in the house) Night Tables (we each have one as well) Night Table Light (respective) Blinds Fan Room Off Kitchen (we have a touchscreen here too, but the switch has) Kitchen Overhead Lights Garage Light Garage Door 1 Garage Door 2 Living Room - also touchscreen here but we use this switch alot Overhead Light Fan Mute Room Off Office Light Blinds Fan Room Off my advice is as follows - Try to keep things consistent, if room off is in different spots between rooms it would be a pain. - Buttons can always be changed but its a lot of work, programming is a lot easier to change. - we do use the lights for feedback in some areas. examples are if a garage door is open, that button is red, so its easy to see if we left something open (i'm notorious for this, so we also get emails and texts if its open for more than 15 minutes). - in some areas, we use double taps, if you double tap the room off on my night table stand it triggers the good night routine. shutting things off, turning fan on etc. if you double tap the light on my night table it starts my personal wake up routine. - the window treatment stuff has a little programming behind it. it cycles between 20% open, 50% open and closed. anything outside of that, and i need to use the actual slider on a touchpad/remote. hope this helps,
  18. i just went through this. may not directly answer your questions, but some info below - There are no connections on the back of the tv besides the one connect cable port. it is proprietary to samsung. - anything you want to connect to the tv needs to go through the one connect box - on my tv (slightly different, but likely same setup) the power is also routed through the one connect box - the one connect cable is not rated for in wall use - snapav has just released an in-wall backing box that is large enough to accomodate the one connect box called the versabox XL - this was announced literally days after i installed my box. the previous versaboxes are not big enough to fit the oneconnect box, so i ended up having to cut a giant hole in the box to push half the one connect device behind the wall, a bit of a nightmare. hope this helps, happy to answer any questions, don't believe there is any way to get out of this, if i was in your situation, id install the larger versabox, store the one connect box directly behind the tv in the wallbox, and then keep my existing cable setup.
  19. nevermind, I found this, for anyone that may look in the future, this is called "Recall" in programming.
  20. Is it possible to program against the "Prev" button on the remote, (Between Guide and Page Up). When I look at a room, and I view "Commands" I have like every other button on the remote except "Prev". Is it called something else?
  21. Rgbw or RGB would be fine. The light you linked looks like it could work. Not sure if it's bright enough though.
  22. Did not intentionally post this 3 times.. the link is messed because it cut off the file extension and a parenthesis. I'll see if I can fix it
