THEORY reacted to DIEHARD in Is there a way to program without being a dealer
But you can take your Lambo to the kid down the street. If he knows how to do the work.. He can!

This is the best and only LG IP driver!
It works 100%.

THEORY reacted to Cyknight in Actions taken on room power on
That depends - if you want something to happen on both audio AND video selection changes, I would argue that having to program the same thing twice isn't correct

THEORY got a reaction from Gary Leeds UK in Using hc-200 in2.10
1,2,3,4 (but you don't get advanced audio) you have to try 5 for yourself. I wouldn't even want to run slow navigator from an HC-300 even if it works it isn't a good user experience.

I wouldn't bother going to track down cheap controllers online. If you have and need to buy time before upgrading ok use it. But to start looking for controllers that are cheap to use this is pointless. Willing to bet Control4 gets rid of this in the next few releases.

THEORY reacted to perio in Chowmain - Oppo Bluray Player Driver
I deleted the oppo driver, because neither my dealer nor the support was able to get the driver to work regarding the resolution feature. My dealer told me, that the support didn't answer his requests. This is very disappointing. I have changed back to the original driver from Annex, which is now supporting this feature.

Why all the meraki hardware? Is it because that is what you work with? you mentioned this is your job.
Your setup is what is killing you. Also, Meraki can also flood your network when constantly trying to ping/access their cloud portal. Trust me, I’ve witnessed it.
Used to like them when Meraki was Meraki. But now that Cisco is involved, I’ve stayed away.
This network could easily be given full gigabit Access, separate Vlans and a solid firewall using a single $180 Mikrotik.

I love this driver, wasn't sure about paying for it when my dealer suggested it but it has been great. We use the pop-up messages all the time.
Started with 4 TVs and we liked the features of this driver so much the wife made me upgrade the other 4 TVs in the house to LG.
You know things are worth it when the wife tells you to replace all the TVs in the house to be the same brand.
Loving the LG integration!!!

THEORY reacted to annex⁴ in annex⁴ - FREE KODI Control driver
We are happy to announce we have released our driver for KODI control, this allows IP control of a device running KODI software. The driver will have a beta tag on it for a period of time but it has been refined over the last couple months to the point there is no issues and now we are looking at widespread usage and feedback. That said there have not been issues with control for over a month. Coming soon will be the media service portion of the driver which will also be FREE. We have implemented this as a 2 piece driver, with this being the basic communication and the coming driver being the more media related functionality.
The driver is here

Enjoy, and Happy Holidays

again the price of the driver is...
FREE

Looking forward to giving this new driver a try versus the old free one that has been floating around for many years. The old one is light on features (just handles basic control) but always works just fine so I'll be happy to try out this one!
Thank you!

It's free. No down sides. So far has worked well for us. Not sure if the differences but I haven't found any drawbacks

THEORY reacted to Stubro in Apex Neptune Aquarium System and C4
I would be in as well. The new version of Apex, which I just upgraded to, has a IOT/API core so it should be something that would work. Has anyone reached out to them to ask? I am not at MACNA this week but we might be able to get someone to ask.
Thoughts?

THEORY reacted to Matt Lowe in LG TV IP Driver - Released
Just another shout out to any one that wants this awesome driver. We have several sites running this driver and they can't stop programming things the tv to do.
we have our show room running with tvs hardwired and wireless internet, web os 2.0 and 3.0 and they all work great even having them all turn on and off together is neat to see the whole floor turn on by itself. with out having to run a bunch of ir cables EVERYWHERE.
pm me and ill get you set up asap.

Oh man, this driver is awesome! I purchased a 55UH8500 last night on sale from Best Buy and mounted it in place of my failed Samsung. Matthew Lowe was extra responsive as usual and was able to get the driver installed. I may be compelled to replace all of my TV's with LG just because of the driver. Great job Annex4!

THEORY reacted to David Paxton in LG TV IP Driver - Released
Matt Lowe was kind enough to set me up with a trial for this driver. Big thanks to him.
I am using this driver on a O.S 2.0 Tv so it has the start up delay, However even with this limitation I have nothing but positive things to say about this driver. I am a control4 certified Tech and a end user and I can honestly say from both sides of the table this driver is so useful.
I love the Instant app launching and the ability to recover one of my serial ports I was previously using.
However my Favourite Feature of this driver, is the Toast notifications. Discrete little pop ups letting you know what is going on around your home from the comfort of the couch. I Have been messing about with door bell integration for the rooms that are out of range of the door chime.
I will be contacting Matt to upgrade to a Full licence in the next few days.
It rely is surprising how much extra features this driver can offer over the very dull on/off commands of the stock IR/Serial drivers.

THEORY reacted to annex⁴ in LG TV IP Driver - Released
As long as the TV has the Mobile TV on setting the driver should work.
There may even be some webos 2.0 TVs that work as I have heard a few have the setting also.
The list is just what has been seen so far, that is why it says known working. There is a 21 day trial but every TV tried so far has worked provided it has the "mobile TV on" setting

THEORY reacted to annex⁴ in LG TV IP Driver - Released

This is the most feature rich TV driver to ever be released for Control4!
