dcovach got a reaction from Stonemere Technologies in EA5 Requesting System Password?
Network Reset Instructions 1 - Unplug power
2 - Hold down Link\ID\Identify button
3 - Continue to hold down the button and plug in the power
4 - Hold link\ID button until Data and Link lights come on solid together (they will only be in this state for a couple of seconds). Let go before those lights turn off.
Note: In OS 2.10.1 and lower, the Caution LED appears solid blue during the network reset check. After updating to OS 2.10.2 and higher, the Caution LED appears orange during the network reset check.
Note: Performing a Network Reset on the controller running Director will also reset the password on the controller -

Ya, but you'll want a device that's not plugged into a power source. Such as mobile phone or another battery powered device that has a supported control4 driver

dcovach got a reaction from Matt Lowe in HC-800 To Upgrade Embernet Devices?
I double checked and both you and @Matt Lowe are correct. Thanks. Its been a while.
Is there a chance I had an hc250 on os 2.5.3 and added an hc300 to be the embernet upgrade controller? Or am spreading another falsehood?

dcovach reacted to eggzlot in Devices not responding - Epic-Systems Echo driver
While I certainly agree, there is a difference between a driver failing vs crippling a project. I know I am using a reversed engineered driver for MyQ. If and when it breaks, so be it but it will hopefully not take down my system where a dealer has to spend hours to restore everything. I'll just have look at other options for control like soldering a remote to a relay, etc. But my dealer told me it may happen, so he was up front, explained the pros and cons and I made a choice. If my dealer said the MyQ app has a chance to take your system down in "dumpster fire" fashion I may have looked at alternatives.
I am dealing with issues now with Blue Iris, but I did last me almost 5 years, so I feel I got value and use out of the driver so if support went belly up that is ok, but it has not crippled my system.

I still don't feel this warrants hacking a controller without warning.

I recommend a new car. Spotify support in C4 is pretty much worthless IMHO.
