Thinking about lighting while doing extensive renovations and wondering if dim to warm or tunable lights are worth it. Concerned that with dim to warm, unless lights are designed such that base scenes are running at 100%, you are effectively always in the warm region. Tunable would solve this but they don’t work with standard dimmers and would require a lot of app interaction. (Btw I am leaning to Lutron for dimmers integrated into c4 system but Ketra is out of budget). Appreciate any perspectives.

Thanks - i do plan on just using regular dimmers in the non common areas and I am debating between going with Lutron or C4 for the lighting. I have lived with another install that had C4 for control and Lutron for lighting (with dimmers bunched in closets) and it worked well. I’m going with third party keypads anyway this time (not palladium, which is why I chose Lutron that time vs C4) so revisiting the issue.

Other than it is a more elegant way to do it, why is it better? Would it be faster and / or less expensive?

Hello, working on new house with about 40 dimmers or so and trying to decide whether better to have the lighting on a centralized panel or have it as hidden banks of dimmers in a couple of locations. Any views on how best to approach this?

I’m interested in this also. What were you able to figure out? I was hoping I could use regular Lutron switches to turn / off lights that would return to last level used and then have c4 program adjust the intensity and color

How do you manage if you have C4 in two houses (one with intercom)? Can you have two versions of app running on iOS?

So I figured out that Aqualink has Temp 1 as I guess the set point and Temp 2 as a "maintenance" level that can be set on a schedule to keep a maintenance level. So the C4 app should really control Temp 1 but either way shouldn't be mixed up between 1 and 2 as stated above

Yea, I have the right checkmarks and I think they are correct on the aqualink app- I can’t find a way to change them.

Hello, I have a Jandy - iAqualink pool controller with one heater and no spa. The controller has a temp 1 and temp 2 setting and I know the temp 1 has to be higher than temp 2. Issue I am having is that on C4 app the heater function turns on temp 2 BUT the thermostat changes the temperature for temp 1. So if I have temp 1 at 100 and temp 2 at 80 say set on the aqualink app, when I turn on pool heater on c4 app it turns on temp 2 and sets to 80. If I increase it to 90, I can see on the aqualink app that it changes temp 1 to 90 BUT does not turn it on. So, the heater is at 80. Eventually C4 app recognizes this and shows the set point as 80 again. any ideas? Is this an app issue or something that is set wrong or that I am misunderstanding. Thanks

Hello, I am trying to sort out a way to have cellular backup to my broadband connection. I have an araknis two wan port router but can’t seem to find a cellular modem to attach to it. I previously had a NETGEAR LTE one but it was very unrealiable. Also, does anyone know whether the USB port on router is active such that I could use a USB network card.

Thank you. The way I have it set up now is that there is a custom button for WatchTV and another for WatchMovie. Each trigger respective macros . So they are going around the theater display switcher. I’m using a Neeo remote in this room Inevitably what happens is that we chose WatchMovie and projector goes on and, because the remote doesn’t automatically move you off that screen, someone hits WatchTV by accident and the projector and screen go up. I could disable the WatchTV macro for a set amount of time after the projector is chosen but then I can’t change my mind as easily as to what to watch

Hello, is there a way to trigger a pop-up asking to confirm an action before proceeding? Issue is we have a WatchTV custom button that I want to make sure is intentionally pressed when the projector is already on to avoid switching the display.

I have 3 of these fans and have downloaded the driver into composer. I added the IP address in the connection tab. However, I do not know how to populate the field in the advanced properties tab. I have tried using "notify identity" in the actions tab but that doesn't help. What am I doing wrong?

Both of these seem centered around a touchscreen and their own wireless devices. I have an exiting Honeywell vista wired system that integrates poorly with C4 (no energy buttons) and is out of zones. Is there a better panel to switch to that interfaces directly with Control4.
