Hello, Purchased house last Fall, got a bunch of C4 problems fixed (Thanks @msgreenf!) and now working on some stragglers. As the weather has improved, I've had want to sit on the front porch. I thought of listening to some music but the audio doesn't seem to hit the front porch speakers. But then it struck me -- wait a minute, my announcement (star trek transporter-like sound) plays on the front porch speakers when the ring door bell senses motion. What gives? How does the announcement work but not the audio?

Can you assign the LED color value by a variable? (And then just change the variable?)

My gains are all out of wack - so before I update them for each room (using an older AVM-16S1-B, firmware 03.24.43) -- is there a recommended best practice for the "minimum" volume level? Since this matrix goes up in multiples of 4 (volume: 4/8/12/16), what do you recommend? Something like 30dB? PS: The instructions are there to do this right on the front console; can these values also be set by Composer?

If there's a gen-zero, this house has it! (Argh) But now I'm curious - how can you tell which keypad generations you've got?

Hello, Is it possible to change the LED brightness on Keypads? For example, I'd like to dim the keypad brightness down to 20% or so between 11pm and 6am.

Good info - my question may be simpler -- how do you get Broadcast (Antenna) Channels to show up in the Navigator? I have Broadcast FM channels in the "Media" Section but these don't show up in the navigator.

My wife and I refer to this as "Second System Syndrome" (which has it's own meaning, only loosely related here) -- I can't tell you the number of service providers we have had over the years whose second job (landscaping, painting, etc..) turns out to be much more expensive than the first. Good luck - with $100k into the dealer already, I'm sure you'll be able to work something out.

Curious to hear if anyone has experience with both of these and could compare/contrast? At the prices ($215/LAUNCH, $375/LUXE), the main differences seem to be size (4.9"/LAUNCH, 3.3"/LUXE) and whether or not POE is built-in. Seems rather pricey to charge that premium for basically a little smaller and POE. The cases (iPad mini) are also $120 more for the LUXE. Can't I just use my own POE to DC adapter with the LAUNCH?

Hello, I'm new to this but my read on the project files is that they are mostly just an XML file with some plusses (i.e.: some encrypted fields, compressed data). Has anyone ever taken a project file and exported to a system that might map the contents to a better visual display? For example, it would be great to export a map to visio and have all the inputs/outputs/ports/addresses could be labelled.

Question: if I save a "Radio Preset" or a Preset that is someone else's playlist and they modify it -- do I get the new updated playlist or is the preset just for the specific playlist created at the time of saving the preset? (I.e.: Does "Saving Preset" save the playlist, or a reference to the playlist?)

I have all my iot gear in a separate vlan (or WiFi that is in a separate vlan) and rules so my PCs can talk to the iot vlan but the iot vlan cannot initiate a connection to the PC vlan. ubiquiti network gear makes this easy but other gear will probably work well too.

Try static ip. Does that work?

I was in a deep funk - you may have read some of my posts here about taking over a C4 install after a recent home purchase. It was a disaster - all the lights in a single room, old never-updated drivers, no real "cool" parts of c4 working .... and then Mitch saved the day. And a lot of dollars! Mitch did a great health-check, got me squared away, did some composer/HE review and set my system in tip-top shape. No more IR drivers! Roku Channels (Netflix, Hulu, etc..) right on the remote! Cool sounds play in the house when the Ring detects motion! Thanks, Mitch! Highly recommend.

Has anyone else seen this? I have an older C4 16ChAudioSwitch and it will periodically just stop being on the network. I have it configured for DHCP (static IP assignment) and I can wake it up by pressing the Network Setup physical button and toggling DHCP off/on or ... by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Any diagnostics captured in this device that I can inspect?

No - UDM includes the "Cloud Key", which is to say remote (or local) management.

While I don't use the Cinegration driver, here is my setup. I'm taking advantage of their recently released UDM (Ubiquiti Dream Machine). The UDM combines an AP, GB-capable IDS/IPS, CloudKey Management, and 4-port switch + WAN connection. - UDM - 2x Ubiquiti 8-60W (4 POE ports each) switches - 2x Unify AP AC In-wall (from previous house) The setup is pretty simple after that - two VLANs and two WiFi networks in my case for regular and regular-OT (C4 and IOT gear). Plus a simple guest wifi portal. You can assign VLANs based on port quite easily.
