Dueport reacted to WhistleProjects in Whistle Projects - SolarEdge Monitoring Driver
Thanks for reporting back on the iOS issue everyone.
Looks like it's an oversight on iOS webview supported graphic formats.
We will have an update released in the next few hours and report back. Apologies.

Dueport reacted to WhistleProjects in Whistle Projects - SolarEdge Monitoring Driver
Overview
This driver interfaces with the SolarEdge API to collect and store values for Solar Power generated, Power consumed by the Site, and Grid Power used by or returned to the Grid.
All values are updated every 6 minutes due API limits imposed by SolarEdge.
Features
Clean UI Displays Grid Power, Consumption and Solar Power Displays Daily Totals Programmable variables for: Grid Power Consumption Solar Power Connection Status Exporting/Importing Daily Totals *Note: Consumption and Grid Power is only supported on SolarEdge systems configured with appropriate energy meters.
Limitations
Due to API limitations, data refresh is only updated every 6 minutes.
Daily Totals are updated at 30 minute intervals. Consumption and Grid Power is only supported on SolarEdge systems configured with energy meters. For systems that only support displaying Solar Power, power readings will only update every 15 minutes. Only tested on single Inverter systems Trial
This driver comes with a 30 day trial, which begins the moment a dealer installs the driver. This should allow sufficient time to test functionality and ensure this driver meets your requirements.
FAQ
Why does the UI say 'Offline' and won't update?
Ensure you check:
Your inverter is still connected to the internet There is no outage on for the SolarEdge API Your Controller has the correct date/time for your time zone. Note: Connection issues can be typically confirmed by opening the mySolarEdge App on your phone, and checking the app still has a connection to your inverter.
Does this driver support batteries?
Not at this time. If you are interested, reach out.

Control4 is aware of the problem, it started Friday and as far as they can tell it's a Roku problem...

Dueport reacted to msgreenf in [Status Update]Roku interoperability issue with Control4 identified. Investigation underway.
Apr 1, 15:27 EDT
Identified - Numerous cases have been reported in the last few days of the loss of control of Roku devices through the Control4 system. There have not been any changes to the Roku driver recently and we currently leverage the published APIs by Roku, so we believe this is tied to a recent software update deployed by Roku. A Roku developer forum thread is also pointing to the same issue View the full article

Dueport reacted to Darin, PM C4 CX Platform in C4 iOS app not available on Apple Vision Pro
The iOS team hasn't been able to get to testing of Apple Vision Pro yet due to higher priorities, but once they are able to give it a once over I would be happy to give you early access and get your feedback.

Dueport reacted to cnicholson in C4 iOS app not available on Apple Vision Pro
Certainly not for everyone. I get that. But if you take the population that is spending six figures on home automation / home theater / computer control of their nightlights, you’re going to find a lot more Vision Pro users in there than in the general population. Not here to evalgelize— but, as an aside, you might want to get a demo— you might be surprised. A couple of guys from my C4 dealer team were here a few weeks ago and I gave them demos. One was “meh” but the other guy was like profoundly impressed. Anyway, the point of the post is to gently prod/beg C4 to please undo their opt-out so we can use the existing app. All the while knowing that this is a niche thing.

@eggzlot when you live in a virtual world you still need to control the real world 😆

Dueport reacted to cnicholson in C4 iOS app not available on Apple Vision Pro
Any update? I’m happy to test current iPad app via Test Flight. Control4 is one of the only things I can’t easily use with Vision Pro, and actual reality is just so tiresome….
-
Dueport reacted to Darin, PM C4 CX Platform in C4 iOS app not available on Apple Vision Pro
We chosen not to have the app be available until we we are able to test compatibility and the experience. You can expect the app to become available once the review and testing process has been completed. This is the same approach that was taken for supporting iPadOS apps on MacOS with Apple Silicon chips (M1, etc).

Dueport reacted to cnicholson in C4 iOS app not available on Apple Vision Pro
Yeah. I am am one of those idiots who bought one Day One. Love it so far.
While I do not expect Control4 to do a Vision Pro native app right away (if ever), it would be awesome if they would simpl make the iPad app available for download and use in compatibility mode. From my understanding, developers need to “Opt-Out” affirmatively for their apps to *NOT* show up in App Store for Vision Pro, so looks like they either opted-out or perhaps they flagged app as being targeted for an older version of iOS (and not current versions).
Anyway, I hope someone at Control4 will get around to ticking the right boxes— no actual work required. Hopefully they are just waiting to test the stability in compatibility mode before ticking the boxes (I’m happy to test it for them).
As an aside, you can place persistent, spatially-anchored buttons around your house and make them kick-off Apple “Shortcut” scripts by just looking/pinching which can, among other things, control C4 devices (assuming you have otherwise linked Homekit and C4). This circuitous approach is very kludgy/janky/beta for now, but still fun.

Dueport got a reaction from alanchow in Chowmain - Airthings Air Quality Monitoring and Automation Driver
Radon is indeed big in the states especially here in New England - being able to get regular readings and see/program those in C4 is a great thing!

Overview
Chowmain releases Airthings driver for Control4. Established in 2008, Airthings is a global tech company led by a team of experienced scientists, engineers, developers and visionaries, with a common goal: to educate on the prevalence of radon, as well as other indoor air contaminants, and develop accessible technology solutions to help people stay healthy.
The Airthings driver for Control4 provides integration to Airthings View Plus, Wave Mini and Wave Radon products to allow monitoring and automation of air quality in a home.
Monitored measurements include
Radon PM 2.5 CO2 Humidity Temperature TVOC Pressure Mold Note measurements are model specific so please verify the model selected monitors the measurements you are interested in. These measurements can be viewed on Control4's touchscreens and mobile applications via a custom web view. A link on the web view will take you through to the Airthings dashboard for historical and other data.
On top of this integrators can add additional automation via built-in push and email notifications along with program automation macros when measurements reach specified levels. This ensures that a home owner is informed when unhealthy air is detected and the home is purified/ventilated via Control4.
Driver Features
View Plus Radon PM 2.5 CO2 Humidity Temperature TVOC Pressure Wave Mini Humidity Temperature TVOC Mold Wave Radon Temperature Humidity Radon Graphical UI for viewing live device data on Control4 touchscreens and mobile applications with description of health risks Temperature and Humidity bindings available for the Control4 Temperature Display (OS 2.10+) driver Ability to login to the Airthings Dashboard to view history from the Control4 app / Touchscreens via the driver's Webview Variables for all available data from each device Events for various levels allow automation of air purification and ventilation. Automatic Push and Email Notifications for all available measurements (requires 4sight) warns customers of potentially hazardous health risks. FAQ
Why is this product so exciting?
This product allows a home owner to monitor and automate air quality in their home including radon, PM2.5, CO2, Humidity, Temperature, TVOC, Mold and Pressure.
Measurements are exposed to Control4 and allow Control4 to automate purification and ventilation of the home.
What hardware will this work on?
The following devices are currently supported:
View Plus Wave Mini Wave Radon Why do I need to login to the Airthings Dashboard every time I open the webview?
The Airthings Dashboard requires a login to access the data. This is a security feature of the Airthings Dashboard. Control4's UI doesn't keep a history of browsing activity for webview drivers. As a result any authentication data is lost when the webview is closed.
What is Radon?
Radon is an invisible gas formed in the Earth’s crust. It surrounds every one of us as part of the air we breathe.
High levels over long periods of time are the issue. By monitoring radon long term, you can be alerted when levels are high and make small changes to improve the air you breathe.
What are VOCs?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a combination of gases and odors emitted from many different toxins and chemicals found in everyday products such as, candles, fragrances, cooking fumes, new furniture, cleaning products, paints and varnishes.
What is PM2.5?
PM2.5 refers to atmospheric particulate matter (PM) that have a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometers, which is about 3% the diameter of a human hair. Commonly found in smoke and haze, these particles can be inhaled and cause serious health issues.
What is CO2?
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless, odorless gas that is a by-product of combustion. It is a natural component of air, but when levels are too high, it can cause health problems.
What is Mold?
Mold is a microscopic fungus that helps nature decompose dead organic material. Both mold and mildew are different types of fungus, but mold is usually shades of black, blue, red, and green, whereas mildew is white.
What is Pressure?
Atmospheric pressure is commonly measured with a barometer and is an indicator of weather. In a barometer, a column of mercury in a glass tube rises or falls as the weight of the atmosphere changes. Meteorologists describe the atmospheric pressure by how high the mercury rises. When a low-pressure system moves into an area, it usually leads to cloudiness, wind, and precipitation. High-pressure systems usually lead to fair, calm weather.

Dueport reacted to South Africa C4 user in Tidal High Resolution Audio
With Tidal merging its 2 paid for tiers, will users who were on the lower tier and will now gain access to high definition audio have to change anything on the Control4 side of things or will the improved audio simply be heard from 10 April onwards?

I just heard release day was moved to next week on Tuesday (2/27/2024), but everything is signed off so I would expect it to be live that day and shouldn't be any additional delays.
@Cranky Oldman I just DM'd you the info to get the beta version, I believe it matches what will be the final release.

Dueport reacted to bnorman in New Room List Icons?
Apologies for reviving an old thread. Just thought I'd mention this in a place where people interested in this topic would see it. In the latest app update we've added the option to turn off the wallpaper preview for rooms. Should be helpful for properties that don't have many room unique wallpapers. You'll find it as the 2nd row in Preferences.

Yes, cool. I like what Unifi has done with their recent Protect update.

Dueport reacted to wnpublic in AI interpretation of camera feed
Thanks. It's fun, but not terribly practical yet as the tech is still developing. For instance you can tell it to give you license plate numbers, but it tends to hallucinate and give fake ones, even if you tell it "Provide a license plate number but only if you are SURE." But you can see where it's going to be very cool (and intrusive). The one practical use i've found is that i've got it watching the backyard of an AirBNB to tell me if it spots two or more dogs (only one is allowed). It's pretty good at that.

Dueport reacted to GregCAMS in Snap VS JoshAI
sounds like the implementation may have had issues like you mentioned which is the case I had with C4 with prior 2 integrators before the current one that has worked to fix many control4 issues over last 4.5 years. The voice portion has greatly improved since we originally installed Micros in 2020. In our case we use voice commands on average 50-75 times per day based on my logs. Based upon a spot check of the data in my Portal we have about a 90-95% first time quality in the microphone on the device picking up the request whether it be scene triggering, discrete single device commands, compound device commands, and GPT style voice commands. I think Josh's foray into more control is a natural evolution and a means to grow revenue beyond a single product/service offering like any business in this era and even a push by any VC's that are funding the capital investments. The UI experience has been much better based upon myself, wife, kids, and guests so the consensus wins here!

Dueport reacted to Time2Jet in Snap VS JoshAI
Without question, the network chipset in the Micros is finicky (versus flakey). I tell my clients to turn off the "wake Beep" on each Micro as it seems to work 100x better in catching the commands. Once that's done, I never have issue with Josh understanding a command, nor have I gotten negative feedback regarding not understanding (with the "wake beep" set to off in each micro). It's not listening for that split second and sometimes causes issues with the command.
