  1. You can find these kinds of things on the Shelly website and internet. Yes, the majority of the purpose of a Shelly relay is to allow you to control with the switch and programmatically. With this switch setup you set them in Edge mode with restore to last setting. So when you change the state of the switch the relay toggles to the other state. If you wire them hot they control the load without a switch present, yes.
  2. Do you need white color temp control plus color? That's called RGBCCT. You can do it two ways. RGBCCT strips or RGB strips and CCT strips in parallel. This is desirable in kitchens so you can get bright enough counter light in white and the color temp you want at specific times. Like 4000 during the day and 2700 or 2200 dimmed down at night. Shelly can't do RGBCCT strips because they are a 4 channel controller and you need 5 channels for RGBCCT, but you can run them in parallel. What's the application?
  3. What does "wired-in" mean to you? How long do you think your runs will be? All interior? How sensitive are you to flicker?
  4. I am seeing the same thing as Ari. In fact both Control4 and Ecobee (cloud) thought that the two were connected, but they were not. I had to remove the app on the Ecobee side and reconnect. When i tried adding the new code to the existing app it took it and said it was successful, but it wasn't. Clearly there is an issue somewhere. My Josh connection with Ecobee hasn't dropped.
  5. Renogy has documented api's and protocols. Quite a bit around if you want to fetch details from the equipment. It's not terrible gear, but is more consumer grade. I designed a Lifepo4 battery with one of their OEM suppliers and am generally happy with the quality. I've seen Home Assistant folks integrating with a serial to wifi bridge https://www.tindie.com/products/westlabs/renogy-rover-rs232-compatible-wifi-module/ I thought that was possible with the driver based on the documentation.
  6. If you can see C4 trying to wake it up you can potentially increase the retry count in the driver from 4 retries. If when it's not waking up you double click on the TV in composer to bring up the control UI can you power on the TV? I think no from what you said above. Did you disable CEC? Which power off mode did you use? You have this set to motion and not motion plus night?
  7. Any particular firmware version giving issues or more stable or is it across the board?
  8. Unless something has changed I don't think you can install your own apps on the fridge.
  9. I'm about to integrate one. Tell me more about this ?
  10. Or just two Shelly 2PM and maybe a one or two RC scrubbers to protect with the fan and transformer loads. Depends on total load if you can use the Shelly. This leaves the current switches and gives you automation. Maybe less than $75 plus the Shelly driver. A Shelly 2PM can switch two loads.
  11. Josh appears to select the defaulted user in some apps like Disney since it can watch a specific show from room off. I have seen this problem or hurdle in Netflix and Prime.
  12. Ok. Heads up that your link in the driver pages links to a product that is likely discontinued. I did just now find this Q&A on the HD site:
  13. @alanchow or team, Do you know if the new Home Depot universal fan controllers still work with Bond. I have some of the older ones you link to from your driver page, but it's not available any longer. Looks like the new one is pushing something called Hubspace so I'm not sure if they are supported in Bond. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton-Bay-Universal-Smart-Wi-Fi-4-Speed-Ceiling-Fan-White-Remote-Control-For-Use-Only-With-AC-Motor-Fans-Powered-by-Hubspace-76278/315169181#overlay
  14. This is not my account and I cannot vouch for them etc etc. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294772438017
  15. Just an update. I have Josh.ai now and Josh has some options for ducking. It can duck all, just audio, just video and disabled. This works great with Sonos for obvious reasons. To do this in one of the main rooms where I have Josh and have the Josh responses come out of the ceiling speakers while retaining C4 controlled audio on the room I am doing the following: Gear: Rolls Ducker Josh Core Josh Micro C4 Matrix Episode amps Config: Micro is configured to output to Core Audio 1. Core Audio 1 is connected to Rolls Ducker Aux input Zone output from Matrix is connected to Rolls Ducker line Rolls Ducker output is connected to Episode zone input Result: I am able to play audio to the zone from C4 as this routes correctly. When playing audio from C4 if Josh wants to respond to something the audio comes out of the Core audio 1 output and the Rolls Ducker ducks the C4 audio and plays the announcement. When the announcement is complete the Rolls Ducker passes the C4 audio. So at a small scale of 2 zones this works because I have two outputs on the Core. Since we do not have Josh native output with more than 2 outputs at the moment it would seem my only option is Sonos if and when I need to scale. Since I'm just testing the Josh system and not 100% committed yet I'm fine with the two zone limit at the moment. I'm liking the idea of Sonos in the mix, but retaining the Matrix and C4 audio so the future plan is Sonos port like functionality for each zone in place of the Josh core outputs. That can get me C4 audio, Sonos audio controlled by C4, Josh controlled Sonos audio, Josh announcement ducking for both C4 and Josh music. The Josh Sonos audio can interrupt C4 audio so for any audio announcements to come out of the speakers and work 100% of the time they would need to come from Josh.
  16. Just for some contrast and not a comment on the value of a Josh remote: $13.50 USD can get you a bluetooth remote that will do ChatGPT. It's designed for universal IR control, but also integrates to alexa and google. Perhaps they OEM?
  17. Do you have Josh.ai?
  18. This probably needs it's own thread. Personally, I don't like cradles or base stations. It would have to go in a cabinet. Would be nice if they made it a POE switch so you could stick it on the back of the TV. I think things get complicated or more complex when you have to start pairing remotes with bases and keeping bases on the wifi network. My micro wifi experience was bad. If it didn't have voice I'd say Zigbee or if they wanted to be cool Lorawan. With voice you have bluetooth or wifi direct. I do hope Josh adds a Zigbee/matter/bridge and ability to add the endless ecosystem of devices.
  19. Yea, sure. I grabbed it out of the release notes just to add the reference. I didn't create the release notes.
  20. Its not unlike a Roku remote. I like it. I'd have one. I'd like it to have more curve on the back so it palms nicely. Candy bar remotes don't feel good. I like the potential for custom buttons, but I'd wager that might get axed. I hope they offer color options so we can color code by room.
