Programming going bad

Recommended Posts

weird.  system with an EA5 about 60 devices.  has been working great for several years.  Certain programming events are screwing up occasionally now.  Such as my "all off" doesn't turn off all lights.   My "away" doesn't shut the garage door sometimes.    I can control the c4 switch, garage door, and the wemo plug all fine, individually through the c4 ap.

any ideas how to make it 100% reliable again?

Thanks

Have you tired doing a reboot?

What OS are you on?

How are these devices controlled ?

Thanks

I had a device that was interfering with the ZigBee and changed channels and that fixed it.

I also had too many (more than 70) devices and had to have another device to support the other half of my devices as the number of hops was too many to be reliable.

Bill,

I like the idea of changing the channels, but why would controlling the individual light work 100%  I think it may be over taxing the EA5   when 60 devices are firing, maybe its bogging it down.     will try switching channels first because thats cheaper and easy.

Go for channel 25, it will fix all Zigbee issues u might have.

Mujaba, I have rebooted.

I forgot the OS number but its pretty recent (not the most recent)

2 of the devices are controlled by the paid wemo driver.  1 is controlled by the c4 switch LD1 i think is the model.   and then i have a axxess wireless relay to operate the garage door.

I have had the same issues where my 'all off' isn't turning off all the lights.  If i look at the app after this happens, it shows that the lights are off.  I have to toggle them in the app, then it re-syncs the status.

Are you using a lighting scene for this?  If so, you most likely have some interference too.

Yes, i have a button linked to a lighting scene.  I will take a look, thanks.  I did recently install a couple more access points and based on this, i suppose I could be getting interference from the 2.4 ghz band, depending on channel.
