cnicholson
I know I can use Intercom to broadcast to select intercom devices, but what about one-way voice messages to selected audio zones instead of (or in addition to) intercom devices? Is there a standard way to do that? I'm imagining using recorded live voice (speak into iPhone mic) as input, but I suppose a Text-to-Speech generated audio file would be OK, too--- and could be helpful for dynamic voice feedback. I'm plan to add Josh.ai eventually (I assume pretty easy to do once that is set up), but wondering if there is a way to do from within standard Control4 setup with a driver I don't know about. Thanks!

RAV
If its just a couple of routine broadcasts, "Dinners Ready", then you can just use the Annouincement Agent built in to play a WAV file. cnicholson

I'm finding that my announcements work like 25% of the time. They will work fine for a while, and then just randomly stop. Not something I have been able to dig into yet, but I'm using native C4 audio+Triad matrix, etc. I thought it may be a timing thing (announcement fires before the amps turn on, etc), but not sure. I added a delay to the announcements, but it hasn't fixed it.

Shivam Paw
Just to add - the Text to Speech driver linked above does also provide the ability to record your voice and send that through speakers cnicholson

Indeed. The more zones one has in the announcement, the longer the blank one would want to insert at the beginning of the message.
