Andrew luecke
Even if possible, I wouldn't do this (you'd possibly have to use variables, and do a lot of programming). But, you could find yourself legally liable if the lights get turned off, and can't be turned on as it could be a safety issue (especially during an emergency), and not sure what the laws are regarding this, as some countries may require working light switches for all lights . JSTRONG
I was thinking make backups Change all keypad dimmers to not control loads and disconnect any connections and delete any keypad programming Disonnect and remove programming on config keypads then make dimmers not Control the load. then when the party is over. Upload the backup.
Neo1738
There is no easy way to do it.
mujtaba.khokhar
A lot of clever programming would be required with variables. this is a feature that’s actually in lutron and pretty cool. Use it at home when we have gatherings. if there ever is an emergency, a command gets sent from the alarm or whatever is triggering a panic mode to unlock the keypads and turn all the lights on, music off etc etc. we also have an IP phone system so if an emergency services number is dialed a http string gets sent to control4 which in then does the same thing (unlocks the keypads etc) Muj
brucecampbell
I have a 'Party Mode' variable. But all I do is prevent the 'All off' scenes being activated from the various buttons around the house. This prevents the kids from using the good night button or someone accidentally setting the security alarm.... Never needed to go to the extent of all light switches. Perhaps if your main areas have keypads, just do the programming on them only and leave the switches and dimmers with full functionality. RAV
How to keep the lights on. Create a dimmer load group, and a switch load group, of the primary lights in the areas where parties happen and they don't want the lights going out by mistake, hide them from interfaces, set to track lowest load (dimmer) and all load (switch) Example: living room ceiling, kitchen island, ceiling, counters, dining room chandelier, patio, porch, driveway, foyer, hall..... Create a Party Button - when activate, set Party to true, and set "party snapshot" the lights in the typical party rooms. For each of the two load groups - When group turns off: If party is true, recall "party snapshot" (group turn off will be true if ANY light in the group gets turned off) If want to change lights in the middle of the party, turn off Party Button, adjust lights, turn on Party to set new snapshot You can do similar for ALARM. Create the two groups include all lights. When alarm system triggered, turn on scene ALL Each Group: Group turns off, If alarm true, turn on scene ALL Crooks can't turn off the lights. pbir
Our Keypad Enhancer driver allows you to disable all keypads in a group or even all keypads in the house with one programming command. Available on Drivercentral.io
JSTRONG
I’m going to download that for the next time. . But It was a 4 hour job to turn some dimmers into keypads and keypads with no programming or connections. pb, will it disable all keypad dimmers and config keypads using connections and or programming ? And still Allow the lights to be controlled using a touch panel or the c4 app?
pbir
The driver disables the buttons of Configurable Keypads and Keypad Dimmers. This is easily done as the driver sits between the keypad and the loads. The loads themselves can still be controlled by a C4 app or touchscreen.
