enzeder got a reaction from brucecampbell in New Router
If it's a standard fibre install you should be able to plug your new router straight into the ONT and you will be good to go, shouldn't need the netcom unit. Just have to make sure you tag the WAN traffic as VLan 10. Most routers in NZ have this option in the firmware so it works with the fibre network. Same for all the providers, ie chorus and the other UFCs, in my case UFF.

enzeder reacted to BY96 in Too Many Push Notifications
The placement of the command to send the notification was intentional. If the room temp is too high, I wanted a push notification sent, and if the fireplace is on, to also turn it off.
Thanks for your input!

enzeder got a reaction from BY96 in Too Many Push Notifications
As an aside in your original programming with tmperture high you needed to indent the notification command as you want it at the same level as the "turning the fireplace off" command. At the moment the notification is nested with the temperature change so it would send every time the temperature changed, instead you wanted it associated with turning the heater off, ie only send the message when turn the heater off
Alternative to a timer is some sort of Boolean that you change when you go in and out of the zone. Then you send the notification only when the boolean changes rather than when the temperature changes

Absolutely.. I have a plus H&T sitting in front of me.
However, there were a few bugs which had become critical to fix, needed to be prioritised, and I couldn't delay the current release any longer.
The main issues were the RGBW white channel issue on the new OS3.3 Light V2 drivers (that required a major overhaul of lighting again) and overhauling the polling system to finally allow lighting to use long poll rates of 30s+ (as there was at least 1 or 2 systems which were becoming overloaded, and I worked with Control4 EMEA and Nextgen to identify and fix them).
Theoretically, I actually implemented parts of the infrastructure needed to support the Shelly H&T plus months ago, however, we didn't need it at the time. It should just be a matter of hooking those parts up and managing sleepy 2nd Gen devices properly (but not sure of ETA). So, definitely on it's way, but not sure of ETA (as, I'm not 100% sure if there will be any curveballs since we have to do something new to make this work)

Correct, also as an aside two unilogiq drivers for the motion sensors.
Pretty straight forward to setup from what I remember, it was a while ago now.

Latest update for the nvidea shield has added support for control4.
Nothing on the nvidea forums on what this means and google not showing anything so wondering if anyone here had any idea of what they are doing?

enzeder got a reaction from chesterwilson in Using hc-200 in2.10
Having successfully used this for an hc300 to drive a legacy serial device in a 2.10 system, does anyone know whether this will still work for 3.0?
And if so is there any prospect of an equivalent for an hc250 that I just use for IR control of a couple of devices in a room.
Many thanks
