  1. Super easy. Basic follow the instructions sort of easy. But you have to read them [emoji12] Happy Automating!!
  2. I actually OEM the product and would sell you a complete product with options required to complete a "Happy Customer, Happy Dealer" installation. A few things to note right away; Do you have somewhere for the antenna that is unobstructed from the street? Do they approach from more than one direction? The overall time it takes for the gate to fully open? Type of traffic to pass through the gate with this method. PM me with details or use any of the links @ http://theexpectedresult.ca/contact to get a hold of me. Happy Automating!!
  3. If this is for gate control only, look into long range rfid reader. Can get them up to 150-200ft if you want and will pick up a card mounted on front license plate. This has worked great for me in the past. It will also pick up keychain fobs as well from a great distance as well. There are Bluetooth versions as well if you want it to work with a specific phone or any device using Bluetooth. It uses the mac of device as authentication. Happy to provide more details if needed. Happy Automating!!
  4. Joshua has already done most of this I believe with his appliance. And driver. On RPi Post nine on this thread. Amazon Dash Buttons? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=76380&share_tid=24249&share_pid=199666&url=http://www.c4forums.com/index.php?/topic/24249-Amazon-Dash-Buttons%3F/page__view__findpost__p__199666&share_type=t Happy Automating!!
  5. They say the website must be hosted outside he controller, could I bridge device host a webpage for other things without internet connection? Happy Automating!!
  6. Also, do you have the LG tv with web driver? @Annex, could we not just launch smart Tv browser and a bookmarked page? Hik cam should have a mjpeg stream. Happy Automating!!
  7. For macro on the onscreen, pressing left multiple times always lands on desired security icon. Regardless of cursor position. C4 -> left -> left-> left-> select -> then moves needed to select the desired camera. No delays needed for the first moves. Almost instant. Good luck. Happy Automating!!
  8. Article SUBSCRIBEBOOKMARK Advanced Lighting Scenes - Tracking This is a guide on Advanced Lighting Scenes that with an emphasis on tracking. This is important so the LED’s track properly, and Toggle Scenes work, and Current State is correct, and Programming works Affected Software: Control4 OS 2.6+ Tracking: Tracking is the single most important feature of the Advanced Lighting Scene to automate smart lighting for your customer. In this example I will show a bedroom with 2 lights, a main room light and a perimeter can light. The customer wants the lights to operate a certain way and see feedback from the scene on a keypad. Action: First, Make sure the Advanced Lighting Scene Agent is added in the Agents tab, then click new and Name your Lighting Scene. Add the loads for this scene and now it is time to decide on levels for dimmers and what switches are going to do and delays needed. Example of an Advanced Lighting Scene In this example 2 loads exist for this scene, no other programming currently configured. The Highlighted areas show what has been changed with this scene. Toggle Colors, and Toggle Scene, and Load Tracking have been set properly. When using Create default, the software will make a copy of the scene and label it the same with (toggle) at the end and this toggle scene will default all loads to off. This scene when activated will turn on both lights, bed light to 30% and stay there, bed cans to 25% over 3 seconds and then 50% 10 seconds later over 5 seconds. Connection to a Keypad: In this screen the keypad is set with 3 2 high buttons, programming is only applied to the first one. The highlighted areas show what has been changed to be able to connect to a scene and follow the set led colors for toggle. Under Connections Control/AV find the keypad and connect the button to the scene, it will have this toggle scene and another ending with toggle(toggle) if create default was used. Connect the correct scene and test it. Description of Options: Scene Tracking – All Loads: All loads tracking options must be true to show Active If the bed light was turned on, the scene would be inactive because not all loads are on at the set tracking level Any Load: Any 1 load tracking, only 1 option must be true to show Active If the bed light was turned on, the scene would be active, may not follow the desired effect when pressing the scene toggle button again (customer wants the can lights on) Load Tracking – Switch Options Is Off: True if the load is OFF Is On: True if the load is ON Don’t Track: This load does not affect tracking. At Scene Final Level: Only true if % or state matches exact conditions Dimmer Options (Same options as above) On at %: True if the load is on at XX% Is On: True if the load is => 1% Scene Tracking – All Loads: All loads tracking options must be true to show Active If the bed light was turned on, the scene would be inactive because not all loads are on at the set tracking level Any Load: Any 1 load tracking, only 1 option must be true to show Active If the bed light was turned on, the scene would be active, may not follow the desired effect when pressing the scene toggle button again (customer wants the can lights on) Load Tracking – Switch Options Is Off: True if the load is OFF Is On: True if the load is ON Don’t Track: This load does not affect tracking. 9. It is immediate. The control4 system sees the scene at final level instantly. This is what I recall. A quick way to test this would be to program something else to react when the scene is at final level. A different light in another room for example. When scene 1 at scene final level turn on light 2 when scene 1(toggle) at scene final level turn off light 2
  10. If you have difficulty changing the icon, create the driver and I would gladly make the change for you.
  11. I can't seem to get it to indent. Sorry. Make sure you drag the green arrow onto the blue question mark to indent or "nest" the command. Happy Automating!!
  12. ? If family room off --> turn off family room power --> turn off cable TV --> turn off media player ? If family room on -->Turn on family room power Happy Automating!!
  13. Yes at the room level always. My last post was done with voice to text in a hurry. My apologies. Ultimately, you want to add an additional action at the room level. In programming on the left side select the room, then press the right arrow on your keyboard a few times to expose the room variables. Select power_state Turn on the right side select the room again. Then select conditionals and if room is on and if room is off. But both of those questions in the center. Now you will nest all of your virtual media light switches and the corresponding state under each of those conditioners. Example: ?if family room off --> set family room power OFF --> set cable tv OFF --> set media player power OFF ?if family room on --> set family room power ON This way, whenever you turn the room off it will also turn off the cable TV in the media player switches as well. This will close the loop. Happy Automating!!
  14. I use on and off for it all the time. Hey Siri, turn off family room power. Family room power is switch name and when off, turns family off... then name a switch cable tv. Hey Siri turn on cable tv in family room. When switch called cable tv is on, select cable tv as video source in family room and turn on family room power switch as well. Happy Automating!!
  15. Use only the v2 drivers! This is something I have learned recently. No proper reason why. Just experience. On another note. Wonder if there is a way to leverage the room volume driver for Alexa integration that populates Happy Automating!!
  16. Just want to bump this thread. Joshua has worked over and above in helping me keep my clients happy and this driver and its appliance is a great product. More features have been added and some more to follow. Happy Automating!!
  17. http://theexpectedresult.ca/products-and-services this is a site under construction, and is not meant to take away from your local dealer. However, if your dealer is slow to respond or is not familiar with the driver you are requesting, I am here. Pricing includes basic remote integration and configuration. HAPPY AUTOMATING!!
