  1. Living room Kitchen Master Bedroom Guest Room / garden You asking how often they displaying the same content is really funny because I do not think i have changed the inputs / outputs on the existing matrix for years. Living room & master bedroom are using the main SkyQ box and the Kitchen / guestroom/Garden share a SkyQ mini. the 3rd input is my blu ray player which I dont think has been switched on in over a yr. the 4th was a games console which i have now disconnected. I think anything else but local would be ridiculous given my current requirements. In fact might as well keep the 2K matrix to distribute the sky Qminis as they cant't handle 4K and send the skyQ 2TB(4K) ( via my Denon) through a HDBT extender to the display in the Living room.
  2. At the moment I have at the displays Ir control is through the baluns. If I got rid of the matrix would I not need a ea1 to fire ir at the display? Please excuse me if I’m being thick
  3. 4 displays and really only 4 inputs.Mitch that is my other option as most things nowdays are streamed., should I just get ea1 ‘a and sky q minis at each display. I really don’t know which way to turn. Especially as some of them are a big investment.
  4. Ok when I first had C4 installed I only had a 2K HDanywhere matrix system which I have to be honest has been faultless bar a few receiving baluns going down. I’m now at a point where I think it’s time to make the jump to 4K. I have had endless therapy to make me realise getting rid of the pioneer Kuro is a good thing but I’m soooo split between another matrix vs video over ip ( in the uk I’m tempted by ( blue stream)As used by @Crustyloafer but would love to know in an age of streaming what everyone would choose if they had to choose a system from scratch?
  5. This is exactly the point I believe you were trying to make about the noise earlier in this thread. Its all about the motor. Fabrics are a matter of choice.
  6. Exactly! here in the UK our region news is still in standard def, can’t even manage Hd.
  7. When Sony released the oled A1 it was a top top screen but since then the latest panels haven’t been quite so good imo and now I wouldn’t pay the hike in price over LG. As has already been said LG make the Sony oled panels but unless I’m mistaken I think LG make all oled panels for all manufacturers. Qled is getting better all the time and in the not to distant future once they can emit their own light through quantum dots gen2 (which is coming) the results will very impressive.
  8. You are so right and even reading it makes me realise how stupid it is not to do so. Every day is a learning day and what is so glaring obvious for one can be so oblivious for another.
  9. Demon avr-x3600h performs way better than the price point should allow!
  10. Ok thanks Mitch, Didn't know if there was a short cut ( just me being lazy). What action would I use to do nothing? would it be stop? Ie if party mode true then stop, else....
  11. Over this festive period I have had several people come round and think its funny to start pressing buttons activating all sorts of stuff and to be honest ive had enough of it. Last night we had maybe 30 people round having a bit of a party when someone decides its a good idea to hit the "nightime" button Basically killing everything downstairs etc. I do have a party experience button that was setup for me and was wondering if I could add some programming so when it is pressed/active certain buttons are inactive. If so what would be the best way to attack this?
  12. As said above, pick and drag the action over the if statement, you will then see it indented which means it is now nested to that statement.
  13. I’m not 100% on this at all but think this is exactly the reason. For you you have native C4 at the playbar you would have to take a stream from either EA directly into the speaker and I’m pretty sure this is not an option. Adding playlists stations etc to the my Sonos part of the app and then using the favourites within c4 is the only method as far as I can tell.
  14. You will not get a new app but the old app does a very good job and there is a hell of a lot of people still running it without any problems and you can certainly control lighting from it without issue. Also like Mitch has said it sounds like a network issue and i think you would be pleasantly surprised how everything speeds up once this can be resolved.
  15. @time2jet yes it works by pressing select every time with feedback whilst using the remote. also using iOS c4 app it also works by either pressing the little on/off bar to the right of the light name or by using the slider. just a note thou I am not on os 3 !
  16. Have a couple of hue bulbs in my project for bedside lamps and can confirm select on my sr260 remote will turn them off an on
  17. Somfy rts 485 transmitter urtsi 11 transmitter or the route Mitch has said with the bond setup.
  18. Can I ask why you use this rather than JAP or VS? Reason I ask is because I’m looking to upgrade my matrix in the not too distant future and I’m thinking video over ip is definitely the correct way to go to try and future proof my system. As your based in the uk I would love to know your experiences.
  19. No, no they are not. If yours is, good on you, but even a cheap consumer router is liable to do better than most ISP equipment. I do use my isp router but it is only there to make a connection to my switch. Everything else is done post switch including all ap. I’m not having any problems but would like to implement best practice. With this kind of setup would you still recommend changing the router? many thanks
  20. I don’t think I’m explaining myself very well. I had these switches installed a yr ago and by dealer set them up. I have a duel adaptive phase dimmer in the kitchen and a single adaptive phase dimmer in my dining room which is on a 6 button keypad. He set the top button to control the load in the dinning room and the rest he set up for starting playlists/ watch tv etc. I just want to change the 2nd button to control and dim 1 of the kitchen loads. is this possible via He? many thanks if I’m being thick
  21. Really? Oh ok but thought I might be able to do this through he. Thanks anyway
  22. This will be the easiest dumbest question I'm sure but I have decided to try and change one of the button functions of my ADP dimmer I have located in the Dining room to switch on and dim another dimmable load in the kitchen.I can program it easily enough to turn on and off but not sure how to get it to Dim the load. Thanks in advance
