I have installed the rs485 rts transmitter and have had zero problems whatsoever. I will ask my dealer who installed the transmitter why the capacitor was needed but I remember it was just known practice and not a biggy!

Before I had the triad one in our Kitchen we used the Sonos beam soundbar which obviously had Alexa built in. Now we have moved over to the Triad my better half is now moaning she can’t just ask Alexa to play music. So my question is, is adding an echo dot as simple as connecting a 3.5 jack to rca cable to the audio input on the Triad one and job done problem solved or does it need binding within composer (ie need a dealer) or other setting configured ? Thanks

I started an investment into Sonos but the clunky integration into c4 stopped me in my tracks. Like you, our main room for audio is the kitchen so I purchased a triad one to see how i would get on and I have to say I’m not disappointed. Not that I had an issue with the sound from Sonos but all the little bug bears I had with the integration disappeared over night. The sound is excellent and being able to browse artists and albums ( I use Tidal) through C4 is lovely let alone the ease of programming.

Really old eol products which are frankly rubbish. Also don’t work with OS3! I have installed a Triad one into my kitchen and have to say it’s brilliant. That would be 1st choice, Sonos port 2nd.

He might be based in Scotland but I would definitely get him to give @Crustyloafera call to discuss things. Super knowledgeable and extremely friendly.

Is the outdoor outlet available for the uk market or just the US ?

Not that I’m having any problems with my system but after watching a load of threads unfold i decided to upgrade my router. So I went and asked the company who manages all our company’s IT to get me a price on a Draytex Vigor 2862, he asked me what I wanted it for and then proceeded to tell me that I would be wasting my money because my switches deal with everything on my lan and nothing to do with the router. I just wanted someone on here to explain why it’s essential to move away from an isp router if it’s only used as a bridge to the switch? Bit confused and would love to set him straight on Monday

I think your being told New gen dimmers will work but not with your existing setup! You will need to change your controller And upgrade your O.S. to use the new switches.

With people turning to IPads or using their phone more I can’t see why they would bother investing any more at the moment on a new touchscreen when the T3 does everything needed. Not sure what there is to gain. Would rather see the budget spent elsewhere.
