  1. I've been using Voice Genie for years now, but it doesn't seem to be supported anymore, and since I've upgraded to RYFF, it's broken. (I'm not sure any of the other options will be any better). What's the latest/best in text to voice? Hopefully something that's not a nightmare to configure/set up?
  2. You know, I have no idea - I've never checked. I don't think so? I have my whole rack ripped up right now, but when I get back home and finish putting it together, I'll check? Will be after the weekend. I'd probably just use a Chromecast Audio if you can find one. It's $20 vs. the $350 or whatever the Lynk is now. The Lynk has marginal advantage if you are putting it through a matrix with volume control. The addition of Airplay is nice, I guess, but Chromecast seems fine for that, and the ability to play Spotify Connect already exists in the EA controllers. I don't think you'll get any real benefit with your setup, it sounds like.
  3. Actually, the Lynx mostly works, but not perfectly. For Chromecast - yes, the audio chomecast does play audio, and seems to do that correctly. However, there is a bug - C4 does not recognize the Lynk correctly as a session. Here's the example: Let's say you have the Lynk playing in your Kitchen. And You have a button in your Living Room programmed like this: If the room Kitchen is in a session Add rooms Living to Kitchen session You would expect that music would start playing in the Living Room. That's how it works with all other audio devices. This does NOT work on the Lynk. The Lynk is simply not recognized as a session and will not start playing. You can manually add the room and it will work. However, it's a pretty big bug. For me, it's a big deal, and it's why I continue to use just a standard Chromecast Audio from Google. It works correctly. Also, if you have distributed audio outside of your matrix amp, that obviously won't play. I do have a Lynk plugged into a MOIP audio transmitter to fix that problem, however. That's obviously not a problem with the Lynk itself. However, one does wonder why they didn't integrate all this with RYFF, instead?
  4. Hey, a few years ago IP control was completely broken on the comcast boxes. 1) Does IP work pretty well now? 2) I see that there are only 4 STBs listed as compatible. I'm actually not sure how to tell which one I have. Does anyone know?
  5. The Shelly Motion 2? It's indoor only.
  6. Anyone have a suggestion for an outdoor motion sensor with a native C4 driver? Battery powered, unwired. (NOT the Hue ones, I know they work, but the delay on the Hue -> C4 is too high)
  7. I'm also on Unifi. Yes, it does require a little configuration, but I also have it working across multiple switches. I haven't done it on araknis switch, to be fair.
  8. I had horrible luck with the Shelly H&Ts. From needing a very convoluted reset b/c of a registration error, to having them drop off the network, to horrible battery life - just not a great experience. Sinope has a little battery powered device for detecting water leaks, but it also detects humidity and temperature. Battery life is 2+ years for me so far AND it has a native driver for Control 4. No fiddling with the Shelly drivers or a third party driver. https://www.sinopetech.com/en/product/smart-water-leak-detector-zigbee/ I'm a dealer for these things and can order some if you need them.
  9. I am using the Tempest Weather driver. You probably also need the hardware, but it's not crazy expensive compared to the other options out there. Benefit is that you can get a LOT more variables from the local device and also the forecast info from the Tempest service. WAY better than the Dark Sky driver, in my opinion.
  10. Looks like the problem still exists.
  11. But you can force it in the agent, as well.
  12. So I've read. I am on the current fw, which says it had some network connection fixes, but so far I've seen no improvements.
  13. Unifi. I've even locked it to one access point so it's not roaming. I've seen this on various other networking equipment, however.
  14. I have a bunch of Picos. Totally forgot about them. Great idea! @msgreenf Two reasons. 1) The design is nice, but it should have launched with a touchscreen (I know one is coming). The number of times I have watched customers try to hit the screen is frustrating. It's a bad user experience. 2) I can't get the thing to stay connected to the network. At least every 2-3 days it drops off and I have to reboot it.
  15. I really like the SR260, don't get me wrong. The Halo is terrible, however. The Neeo won't do what I'm looking for. This is not a question about any of those - are there any very small 4-5 button remotes that anyone knows of? I know that you can apparently do the Bond Sidekick, which would be perfect, but I don't have a Bond Pro, and don't really want to spend $450 for this little side project. Anyone have a suggestion?
  16. Hmmm. Uncertain about that. Neil forgot to make it to bourbon night last time....
  17. It's a CA10, and there's no delay if there isn't a if time is between conditional. As to the LED warmup - it's way way slower than that. Even if I try it at 100%, it still has that huge delay. @South Africa C4 user I'll try doing it with a variable. @msgreenf I don't think so. If that were true, I'd be getting that same delay when there's no "if time is between" conditional. The nyce motion sensor turns the light on immediately if there's no time conditional.
  18. Well, it's pretty cumbersome to set up, and I've had some issues with it just, well, failing. No voice, etc. Reinstalling it fixed it. The most recent issues is that I occasionally get stuttering in the voice.
  19. I've used VoiceGenie for years, but it has its limitations and issues. What's everyone using nowadays?
  20. I have several NYCE motion sensors. When I have them "when motion detected" and just execute a light on, it works fine. Minimal delay. If I have a "when motion detected" then have IF time between 11:00PM and 7:00AM set light to 10% It takes 3-4 seconds before the light comes on. This happens on multiple lights/motion sensors. I can't be the only one using it for this, can I? Is there some bug in these drivers?

    Govee

I actually have my ice maker turn off between 12pm and 8am. It's rather loud when it drops ice.
  22. Anyone know if sollos has a driver?
  23. Courtesy light driver? I don't see that one. Can you give some more details? Do you mean the security-courtesy light?
