Waring192 reacted to alanchow in Belkin WeMo Driver - Free
That is one of ours. Though if you’re going to pay for that then you’re better off just buying our belkin Wemo driver which allows for proper support of lighting (inclusive of dimmers) and has instantaneous two way feedback, energy management and more.

Hmmm, do you mean the EA-3? The EA1 only has an HDMI out. No 3.5mm for audio.

Waring192 reacted to South Africa C4 user in Audio out from Airport Express?
The iTunes driver was OK and had its place in OS2. I used it to get Apple Music working (in a jippo fashion) for years. However, it does not work in OS3 (more accurately, it does not work at all in OS3.1 and lost all of its useful functionality in OS3.0).
Tidal or Deezer have the nicest GUIs when it comes to streaming.
In order to get music that you have ripped to work via the C4 interface, the best is to use a DLNA server but with or without this, your dealer can get this working pretty easily as this is standard C4 utilization.

If you are using Mac, OmniGraffle is as good as Visio. Both are my favorites. -

I use visio and lucid chart but those are monthly charges which may not be something you are interested in. Here are a few I found but haven't used them personally

If HD Homerun is installed as a PVR Backend in Kodi then it will work through our Kodi Live TV mini driver including live tv and recordings like screenshots below

Just because it’s part of the native music services available. I run Sonos and not fortunate enough to have an audio matrix and amp setup so cannot say for sure but I think all services show up under the listen menu providing you have enough audio outputs available to support the amount of services your trying to use.
Again I can’t say for sure that this is 💯 correct and others I’m sure will correct me.
so apologies in advance is not correct.

There is an iTunes driver but does require a pc or equivalent to be always on and I’m not sure if this works with OS3 ( others can correct me on this).
amazon has better integration but a lot of people on here swear by Tidal for look and functionality.

My understanding of HDBaseT is that the spec bandwidth is in fact 10Gbps. That's true of the $169 boxes just as it is of the $600 box. Compression takes place in order to accommodate the data that can be carried by HDMI 2.0 with a max bandwidth of 18Gbps. I'm not aware of any HDBaseT solution that can currently manage to carry 4k/60 4:4:4 w/HDR10.
Honestly - my advice is to buy the AV Access box from Amazon as your first foray into video over Cat6. You won't be disappointed, especially at that price. If you are, just print off a return label and send it straight back to Amazon. It's that cheap and easy. Oh, and use good quality Cat6 cable. Probably don't have to use Cat6A given the short runs involved in your install.

I've used several of the AV Access units, in different situations and at different cable lengths. All have worked without a problem straight out of the box, and I've never had one go bad on me. Highly recommend them, especially at the price.

Waring192 reacted to Thepritch88 in Buttons needed for dimmers?
I’ve never used the rocker before but it looks like it just another style of button. In terms of functionality I don’t think there would be any difference, it just depends on how you want to configure the keypad
-
Waring192 reacted to ILoveC4 in Buttons needed for dimmers?
The rocker is just one big button the rocks to the top and bottom, like a regular (non-keypad) dimmer. Just get the color change kit with everything so you have options. You can still just do 2 big buttons (one for top and one for bottom) and it functions just the same - the only difference is you’ll see the seam between the buttons.

Waring192 reacted to Cyknight in Buttons needed for dimmers?
With the side note that I'm not familiar with the UK versions, I want to point out that in North America the rockers can be used on keypads, but keypad buttons CANNOT be used on dimmers (or switches). No, you can't just use the '3 height' buttons instead of a rocker, because the 'pin' that pushes in the actual button on the dimmers/switches isn't the same as when you use a rocker

Waring192 reacted to ILoveC4 in CCZ-T1-W or Nest 3rd Gen?
I've never tried to connect a thermostat in the UK so I have no idea. It's just sitting here though, and I haven't wanted to take the hassle to list it for sale and haven't been able to bring myself to throw it out.
You can do the research as to whether it will work or not; just let me know if you want it.

Waring192 reacted to ILoveC4 in CCZ-T1-W or Nest 3rd Gen?
I’ve got one of the old thermostats that I’ll give you - cover shipping. Works great.
-
Waring192 reacted to Cyknight in CCZ-T1-W or Nest 3rd Gen?
First question - do you have a commmon wire.
Chances are yes with a nest, but if the answer is no, don't use the old C4 thermostat.
As for Nest T-Stat, currently there is no integration available since works with nest was cut (C4 has stated they are working on getting it back via works with google assistant though) - but I don't know the level of integration with Control4 that will be available.
As such, it's impossible to compare the two, as we're not sure yet what the new driver will allow.
To briefly answer this - yes. You can think of the aesthetics of the piece what you will, but the current t-stat is able to control a LOT of heating options and setups, works well on batteries and is proven to be very dependable in all setups I've seen so far.
Not that the old t-stat had a high failure rate, but it was limited what it could work with, and basically was not able to operate on battery.

Waring192 got a reaction from ERDrPC in Different drivers in Experience Buttons?
I have a free WeMo outlet driver that works great but it has to connected as a Relay driver and not a light.
Is there a way to put the Relay (changed name to lamp) in the Lighting Experience button?
Also, I have two lamps in the room and would like them both to be connected/paired so if I turned on the relay/light then both would turn on?
Cheers

Waring192 reacted to OceanDad in UK lighting, no neutral. Ideas?
Take a look at this thread :

Looks like the SmartBridge Pro isn't available in the UK officially. However, it seems like it should work if you get one sent over from the US. Standard 5v USB connection, so definitely no power issues. SmartBridge Pro2 is easily available on Amazon US and plenty of other electrical retail/wholesale sites.
