Had the same problem on one of my T3’s a few weeks ago. Rebooted the screen and it stopped doing that. hope that helps.

I know it is an old thread, but we’re you able to get this working?

I inherited a home with the same Lutron lighting system and similar concerns and questions. I can confirm that that Lutron system you have is excellent and will integrate very well with Control4 in a way that will allow you to ultimately control things the way you want. Definitely link up with someone like Ari (above)who replied to your post as this is the type of person who helped me. I was then able to convert all of the lighting scenes that were once on the Lutron programming and accessible only through the slightly more complex Lutron desktop app into Control4 lighting scenes that I now control through the Apple Home app and Alexa. inheriting a situation like that can be daunting at first but you probably have a very good set up that you can taylor to your needs once you get the hang of it. I realize I’m not offering you a ton of information other than encouragement from someone who is in the same situation as you. good luck!

OK, now I’m very embarrassed. When this outage appeared, like I said, I just assumed it was like any other in the past. When it continued into this morning I finally pulled up my Alexa app and saw that the skill said that account linking had “expired.” I had never seen that message before. I attempted to re-link multiple times by inputting my Control4 username and password but it was unsuccessful. I just rebooted my C4 controller and tried to account linking again and it worked fine. So reboot your controller and re-link the account in the Alexa app and it should resume. Cheers!

My Alexa integration also is not working today but I assume it is just an outage. I have learned to wait 24 hours before making changes as they usually restore the C4 integration. As far as the other glitches you describe where it says it is having trouble but then does what you say, I have also experienced that intermittently with no real rhyme or reason. In general, I would say the Alexa integration works about 99% of the time. When it is t working, I use Siri with Homebridge integration. Mainly for global commands like “Siri, goodnight” - all lights go off, doors lock, gates close and home alarm sets, etc. Hopefully the Alexa integration returns soon!

Thanks for the above hints - got it working after logging out and back in. This may be a dumb question, but since iPads have cameras and mics, why doesn’t the Intercom icon show up on the iPad version of the app?

Sorry to quote and ancient post in this thread, but I just installed 4 of the fan controllers, but don't need all 4 of the buttons for speed control (just need High, Medium, Low, and Off). This post suggests a button can be used for something else in C4 - is that correct? Could I make the top button something for music or lighting? Seems given the nature of the switch, it would still also turn the fan load on, but maybe I'm not clear on how these are actually working. Thanks!

It works great! Such a necessary addition to C4 functionality and easy implementation. Luckily I have one of the best dealer/installers and I am up and running already after reaching out with the above post a mere 25 hours ago. Playing around with the different zones and programming now and have found multiple options for application at my home.

For those of us who have cameras without PTZ functionality, would anyone else find it useful to have the ability to use the “…” PTZ button on the camera view page in the app for another function? Seems a simple fix to allow that button to unlock a door or open a gate that is in view on the camera. I know this can be added to the view on the intercom screen, but that is less frequently used from the iOS app. I frequently pull up the camera feeds to view the property and allow access remotely then need to click back and unlock a door or open a gate blindly from another screen within the app then click back to ensure said action resulted in permitting access, etc. Maybe there is already a solution for this that I am not yet aware of which is why I am posting. Thanks for any input!

So this may be a dumb question, but are beta testers needed for the new driver? If so, I’d be happy to!

@dmayorgajr Did you ever get an answer to this? I have the same problem. I tried switching to the Train Command Processor, but that has been a little buggy too.

My IAquaLink drivers on two pools are both unresponsive. Driver version 9. Previously have worked flawless, but noticed my lights not coming on Tuesday and can’t get them back online. Work fine through IAquaLink app, so I know the units are still connected. Maybe Jandy did something on their end? Have used theses for past two years but kinda glad to see someone else having issues. Makes me think it is not us, but rather them and hopefully will get fixed soon.

Alright C4 wizards, I am sure this is possible, but I’m not sure the easiest way to implement it. I have a C4 system well integrated with my older Lutron Homeworks Illumination whole house lighting and I am able to use Alexa to control whatever I want for the most part. I can walk in any room and simply say “Alexa, turn on the lights” and the lights in that one room will turn on (with all loads coming on 100%) or I can specify “turn on the lights 50%” and all go on to that level etc. However, with some recent changes I’ve made to LED bulbs and having multiple lighting loads per room with a desire to set the MR16’s above the fireplace to 25%, the par20 recessed to 50%, art lights to 75% etc. (you get the point) I think it would be great if I could easily make a preset scene (specific to each room) that puts the lights on to those preset levels and still responds to the simple “Alexa turn on the lights”. Similar to how I can reconfigure my lutron keypad in each room to turn the lights on to a specified level based on how I set them in the homework’s programming. Can anyone think of a simple way to accomplish this? thanks!

Did your Alexa skill ever start working again? Mine stopped working this morning. Tried to remove and Re-add the skill, but now it won’t link the Alexa C4 skill with the C4. I know this happened once before and think the issue related to 4Sight. I do believe the routines will all come back when it gets working again.

Since upgrading to 3.2 everything has been great and I am enjoying some of the new features (particularly History). However, I have noticed odd system behavior with whole house Announcements. I have a few prerecorded announcements I (or the kids) can play from the T3's that broadcast through the in-ceiling speakers throughout the house. When they are played since the upgrade, the audio and video in any room where a tv is being watched drops, no announcement is heard, and it is as if pause or the menu button has been pushed on the Apple TV reverting to a black screen or the menu (it seems to vary). Not sure if this is a known issue, but thought I'd mention it on here and see if anyone has any ideas. My system consists of a CA10 and several EA1's, 3's etc. The announcements are programmed similar to the doorbell chime from the DS2 and audio is managed with a C4 audio Matrix and AudioControl Amps if that helps. Thanks for any advice

I just started having this exact same problem a few nights ago. Came back up the next night and the touchscreen was working but by the end of the movie, it had stopped again. Have you figured out what is going on with yours? I have also tried the reset. thanks

It is shaded on a back patio. Exposed to rain a few times so far. Certain times of the day it does get direct sunlight and is plenty bright. Listed at 2000+ nits and far brighter that my original skyvue that was in direct sunlight. Way brighter than the seura that was in the same place.

Just installed the Samsung Terrace.... I’ve previously had a SkyVue that I liked a lot before moving to a home that had a Seura Storm already installed. It was an early model and just finally conked out. Was looking at all the options and settled on the brand new Samsung Terrace 65” with the soundbar. Install was easy and the technology seems relatively current compared to a lot of outdoor brands that are just now starting to offer true smart outdoor TVs - Samsung has that part down pat. The 4K quality is excellent and C4 integration was a snap. Only snag was with the soundbar. I can change the volume in c4 but the mute doesn’t work for some reason. Could probably run IR to the soundbar for that but mute isn’t super important. Overall, I can’t believe how bright and crisp the picture is. With the adaptive picture technology, my 4K AppleTV and my TiVo mini (with decent upscaling) both look great. Realized tonight that there appears to be a limit on the built-in HDBase port resolution, as it balked at 4K 60hz from the Apple TV. Once I installed the receiver portion of my HDMI extender and a 4K HDMI cable, I was able to get full resolution no problem and the small HDMI extender box fits in the water resistant media bay on the back of the TV. It was a little bit of a leap of faith since there wasn’t much info in the tv itself, but I bought the warranty through my dealer and I’m happy so far.

Any luck with this? I have been happily using Alexa with Control4 for a while until this morning and now I am getting the same response in the Alexa app when I try to re-enable the Control4 skill. “We were unable to link Control4....” Any advice would be appreciated!
