  1. You can evaluate the Rachio driver as well on a trial
  2. There is a driver for it on driver central. IF you would like to try it out before purchasing, let me know. https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/utility/skydrop/
  3. There seems to be only comments on the UI. What about the new features included for programming with HE? Doesn't anybody like how a line can be edited instead of deleted and re-written? The navigator tab now allows you to change what you can show or hide for many or all the rooms instead of one room at a time. How nice is that? There's also a summary tab (beside properties) at the Room Level. You can now see all your programming related to that room in one place!
  4. Driver development can be competitive so it's not usually an open discussion, unless you want all your ideas to be an open book to other developers. On the dealer forums, sometimes there are custom one way ir or serial drivers that are shared but that's about it. These can be easily created with dealer tools. The advantage of having dealer forum access for you would be the ability to advertise your drivers. Some of the developers have their own dedicated topic and thread so they can advertise and offer support when asked but I don't know if the forum owner is present all that much anymore to be contacted with a request to create another one for a new developer. There's no in depth conversations while a driver is being developed. I can't see why anybody would want to disclose what they're working on until there is a finished product. You would really want to trust who you share beta copies with.
  5. If you have ownership of the account associated with this system, then it will be possible for you to change the dealer of record. What this does is enables another dealer to have login access remotely, not just on site, and changes / updates can be made. If you don't have a login access, try to contact your real estate agent, lawyer or previous owner to have the email address and password given to you. You can change the email and password to your preferences. If the previous network equipment was removed, or you installed your own, that may explain why the system is not working or broken. It won't be possible for a dealer to connect remotely either until the primary controller is "network reset". I offer remote programming services, as well as on site. I don't change anything to have a look. Send me a private message if you're able to log into the control4 account associated with this system. I may be able to assist you with the equipment you have if you can send or post pictures.
  6. I'm able to get drivers from them and all the other 3rd party developers. Will install and configure too upon request
  7. Nobody is being forced to update their system to a version that could possibly obsolete their controller. I'm still a fan of the HC250. You can still have a pretty impressive system on OS 2.91 using HC250's. On a side note, every time Windows announces a new version, I don't get excited.... in fact, the opposite.
  8. There won't be enough tech support available to handle all the calls for HC300 initial set up issues
  9. Keep calm... and Control4 on...
  10. I don't know for sure but I doubt it. Professionally I wouldn't try to Frankenstein this idea but if you have the time, it's worth a try. The newer modules are not nearly as expensive so that would be the better choice to switch to if you end up with the newer lock.
  11. I'm pretty sure neither the free blue iris control4 driver or the paid one (at Houselogix) have motion triggers. I remember it being mentioned in one of these driver docs that it may be supported in the future but I haven't seen it yet. You can try using chowmain's tcp ip driver in combination with ryan e's web events driver to get motion triggers in Control4. I'm pretty sure I saw this mentioned in the docs of the houselogix version of the blue iris driver.
  12. You need an EA series controller and output the hdmi video out to a TV in order to use the Navigation agent for programming camera jumps (or pop ups). If you have T3's, you can program cameras to pop up on there too. Once a dealer sets up the blue iris drivers with control4, you can do the rest yourself. Add the Navigation agent with Composer HE and do the programming as you wish. I also find it handy to voice control a camera to pop up when not using motion sensing on the camera. I've also seen a demo of cameras constantly cycling on a T3 touch screen but I haven't tried implementing that programming myself.
  13. Good luck. Hopefully a different module will sort this out.
  14. I could be wrong but I highly doubt Yale sent you the actual C4 version of the zigbee module. They have a zigbee module, but I'm not positive they're able to include the C4 version with any locks they send out. OR, they mixed it up. You're not the first to struggle with the newer Yale locks. The issue some dealers are having with these locks is either the module is no good or it's the wrong one.
  15. Unfortunately you cannot set up the controller yourself but you can program what you desire after initial setup using the end user version of the software Composer Home Edition. The pro software is only available for dealers. If you plan on sourcing an older used controller, try to find an HC250-BL-1 or HC-800-BL-1. The model you mentioned (BL) does not have a "site licence" so you will not have access to a C4 mobile app, or PC/MAC app without it. Look for the BL-1. I offer remote mote programming/integration services if you decide that you need assistance with the next step.
  16. That would be the one. Since it's beta, it won't be in the C4 driver database until finished.
  17. I also had that problem at the beginning but I can't remember the magic ingredient. I'm sure someone will chime in before I can remember how I overcame that.
  18. Check this link out --> http://www.video-storm.com/downloads/irusb_faq.htm
  19. I'm pretty sure those alerts will be one of the limitations at this point.
  20. I'm pretty sure control4 will release a driver as an alternate option soon. If anything, there might be something in beta for now but with limitations. I can look into it if interested.
