Automatic source selection based on available sources
pbir replied to Joshua114's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Currently working on a driver which does precisely this. Stay tuned. Paul -
Our Somfy Generic RTS and DCT driver supports the URTSI and should do the trick.

This is correct.

Domosapiens keypad audio control question on capture rooms

You are right about A and B which should not be there. I have seen this a few days ago and it will be fixed in the next version. -
Domosapiens keypad audio control question on capture rooms
pbir replied to DrGonzo65's topic in Programming with Composer
This setting for Capture Selector (prioritized rooms) was added not long ago and exposes three new properties allowing you to specify up to three different rooms for capturing: the first one which is ON will be captured, starting with Room 1, then Room 2 and Room 3. If none of the three rooms is ON, then of course capture will not occur. This allows you some flexibility in capturing rooms, as the user may not always know which one of his/her favorite rooms is ON at a given time. The documentation will be updated. I hope this helps. 100% sure our IT-100 driver will not work with Neo. Only the stock Control4 driver will.

How to solve problem with Cinegration shades driver?
pbir replied to DLite's question in Question & Answer
You really do not need the if statement, as these are one-way blinds. Control4 does not physically know if the blind is fully closed or not and all you want is to issue a close/down command. So, simply inform then close. Inform will not break anything. Paul -
How to solve problem with Cinegration shades driver?

I would add that our Advanced Blind Control driver (for non-Somfy one-way blinds) also has this feature. Paul Biron Domosapiens -
How to solve problem with Cinegration shades driver?
pbir replied to DLite's question in Question & Answer
The Domosapiens Generic Somfy driver has a feature which could help, but only if you use a programming command. The driver has a Device Specific Command 'Inform Blind'. This was originally intended to inform individual blind drivers when myLink scenes were used, but it may be useful in other circumstances such as this. Let's say the last operation done with the driver was to close (down) the shade. Then, the user opens the shade using a Somfy remote. The driver (and the Control4 proxy) think the shade is still closed and will not allow you to close it via Navigator. The workaround is to use the following in programming for a 'Down' button: Inform Blind ... of Up/Open Movement Set the blind target level on ... to Closed Similarly, for an 'Up' button: Inform Blind ... of Down/Closed Movement Set the blind target level on ... to Open Paul Biron Domosapiens -
why do we have a 6 hour limit?

Please see our newest driver: Solar Event Trigger on DriverCentral. It features Solar Noon. It also has a 7-day free trial period. -
With the free C4 driver you can program up/down/stop. Tilting is not supported.

Version 13.0 of our Advanced Blind Driver is available on DriverCentral with the following new features: New events triggered when commands (Up, Down, Stop, Tilt Up, Tilt Down and Tilt Open) need to be sent to a blind allow for maximum flexibility in controlling just about any kind of blind, provided there is a way via programming to deliver such commands to the blind motor. In one example, this means getting a general purpose driver to send specific hex strings to the motor. A new blind driver with tilt, supporting dual motion blinds (Up/Down AND Tilt). For now, tilt is supported using the event mechanism described above. In addition, we recently upped to 3 the number of disabling contacts. You would typically use these to prevent the blind from moving if one or more windows are open. This driver is a great way to add advanced functions including Control4 slider functionality to older one-way blind drivers. You can also use this driver to fully control relay-operated blinds. For more details, please see https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/blinds-shades/advanced-blind-control/ Paul

A new, significantly Enhanced Countdown Timer driver, inspired by the original Control4 driver Countdown units may now be ‘Seconds’, ‘Hours’ or ‘Days’ in addition to ‘Minutes’. A specific time of day may be specified for triggering when ‘Days’ are used. A new optional UI facility is provided to cancel the countdown and/or cycle the times again while running. A new programming command and a keypad connection are available to Cancel countdown. UI feedback is provided when the countdown actually starts. A new 'Countdown Cancel' event is triggered when the countdown is cancelled (instead of the normal ‘Countdown Off’). A new 'Countdown Start' event is available. By default, countdowns are restarted automatically upon Director reboot or driver update. This may be modified via a property. A new MINUTES_LEFT variable is continuously updated during countdown. A new output CONTACT_SENSOR is activated when the countdown is running. The driver is controlled by an Experience Button and/or a keypad button and/or programming to select a delay and start the countdown. Several events are triggered at the start, the end and during the countdown itself. A relay and a Contact Sensor output are also activated while the countdown is going on. The driver is available on DriverCentral at https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/enhanced-countdown-timer/ Special thanks to @South Africa C4 user for his patient testing and insightful suggestions. I would suggest a reboot followed by a Refresh Navigators..

There are C4 versions of the valve and the sensors. Contact Sinopé. Drivers are available.
-
Have a look at our Dynamic Preset Manager on DriverCentral.

To control such a device from C4, you’ll need to get the ZB-C4 version of your selected thermostat (the TH1123ZB-C4 or TH1500ZB-C4, for example) directly from Sinopé. There is a free certified driver available in Composer for these. There are no drivers for the Wi-Fi or retail Zigbee versions of the Sinopé thermostats. I’m controlling such a wall heater (with fan) using a TH1500ZB-C4. Works fine.

Keypad Button Click - stop bound action
pbir replied to brucecampbell's topic in Programming with Composer
Indeed, our Keypad Enhancer driver allows you to disable a keypad to prevent guests from playing with it during a party. There is even a secret button sequence you may use yourself to re-enable locally it if needed. I hope this helps. Paul -
Food for thought

Annoucing our new ADVANCED LIGHTING GROUP driver, now available on DriverCentral at https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/lighting/advanced-lighting-group.
-
Unfortunately not, as DSC have decided that they did not want competing drivers.
-
Advanced Lighting Scenes are a way to do this, but they are limited to a predefined end state. There is a Control4 Dimmer Load Group driver, but I am working on a more elaborate Advanced Lighting Group driver which would be more flexible. No commitment on availability at this time, but it should be in the next few weeks. The driver will be listed on DriverCentral.

Text messages are sent via the Control4 infrastructure. That could have had a temporary problem. Glad all is up again.
