  1. There is a memory limit somewhere in the Media tab of HE. I know (from experience) that if you get close to that you are in trouble, I was never able to figure out exactly what it measured but it did go up as I added things and down as I removed them. That said, I have a lot of screensaver photos (in my mind - hundreds not thousands). How many screensaver photos did you add?
  2. I have a similar problem (not quite identical) on a Denon. Either a bug crept in or the speed at which things are done has changed meaning commands that were in the right order are now in the wrong order.
  3. One additional comment on screensaver photos. Keep the file names relatively short. If the file name (including the source directory that you are adding from) is too long (I’ve never bothered to check how long is too long) then Composer will not add these particular photos.
  4. For clarity, competitors are the likes of Crestron, Savant and Elan. In my view, Control4 is better than all of them. Many on this forum would agree. But please note that this forum is a Control4 forum so many of the views will be biased. The reality is that each of the above plus Control4 have their strengths and weaknesses. Control4 is definitely the best for what I want from a Home Automation system.
  5. Correct. Dimming control as opposed to on / off control.
  6. Your summary is near enough right. No easy way to use Apple Music direct / natively. There are various workarounds but nothing that will get close to the Tidal user experience (sadly!)
  7. If you press the 2 dots and 2 lines icon (maybe a word for this… but it looks like a simplified music score) icon next to the edit pencil in the top right and then swipe left (maybe right) on the lighting scene with the arrows and then click the tick icon (or OK or something like that which appears), this scene’s controls will revert to being identical to the others.
  8. If the sensor is registering closed and open on the UI then the sensor code should be activating! I use the same generic window sensors (connected to a different security driver but a connection is a connection - I think - I.e if it activates the UI display then it should activate the event. My code (under the “when window opens” event is still working perfectly on Os3.4.0).
  9. I guess the primary question is “did this start with OS3.4?”
  10. As I get older, I would also love to make the font bigger. I havent found a way that works well with Composer.
  11. I am sure that someone with more knowledge than me can answer better than I can. I have no idea in terms of option1. In terms of option 2, I see two alternatives: 1. Set this up as one project with certain rooms hidden in the OSD and Touchscreens in one house and vice-versa in the others. Alternation, if this has to (genuinely) be 2 projects for some reason then there is (or at least used to be) and river available on Driver Central which allows control of project X from project Y.
  12. I have 15 or so panelised lighting panels. 9 pr 10 of them were damaged by a bit of flooding (don’t ask) a year or so back. Since these were replaced, I have repeatedly (say once a month) had mosfet errors on 3 of the circuits (across 2 panels). I must say that I tried (unsuccessfully) to understand MOSFET errors a couple of years ago. Now I am simply trying to understand what could be causing this? Faulty wiring? TIA
  13. It does make sense but is not available I’m afraid…
  14. That’s an interesting question. I’m not aware of a system uptime variable that is available directly for use - but maybe there is one. Both items may come from other drivers. For instance, I use a bNet Solutions driver (bTimer) to track various runtimes including system uptime). By starting an instance of the driver on project startup, I have system uptime available for use and display whenever I need it.
  15. Other than the standard menus (watch, listen, comfort, lighting, security etc.), the only way to do something like this (that I know of) is the custom info display driver: https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/utility/custom-info-display/
  16. 7c - dimming keypads at night is a must Various options an available - including drivers, settings and programming. Settings is the easiest and will go dim when ambient light gets to a separate level. If you have multiple keypads in the same room, it is worth getting your dealer to connect the, for ambient light purposes so that they all behave the same. I use settings overlaid by a backlight colour change (white in the day, orange and very dim at night for one or two that I want to be able to find and black for those that I really don’t want to see at night). During the day I overlay this with red for power cut and blue for water cut (unfortunately, in South Africa, both are a regular occurrence). Another advantage of programming is you can use blinds open / closed, TV on / off as additional variable to determine whether you want day or night settings on your keypads. Domosapiens have (at least one) cool driver that deals with this sort of thing. I programmed it all because there was no driver available at the time I set this up.
  17. Since upgrading to OS3.4.0 (31 August version) on the latest version of the iOS app (323.33), the date of last use of items under comfort / extras disappears shortly after use. This is only a problem on iOS (or, at least, there is no problem on my T4s). Even on iOS, I can glean the info via the history agent. It is simply missing in the comfort / extras screen. Interestingly, the problem is NOT present in the locks / sensors scree which has a similar UI. My comments are based on my 2 systems, both running large projects on a CA10.
  18. Me too but my movies are on a NAS. Neil’s are on an internal Dune Hard driver. Where are yours stored?
  19. I’m seeing a few small bugs in OS3.4. Your issue might be a bug. More likely scenario through is that one of the security features that they have apparently introduced may be causing the problem.
  20. C Seed? Way out of my price range!
  21. Is the issue that the music appears to be playing but there is no sound? This was an issue that popped up every few OS releases some years back on a select few controllers. I have no idea if it still does as I wrote a fix for it that runs at startup. The fix still runs now and I have no idea if it is needed! What controller do you have?
