Benefit of timer is correct sequence needs to be pressed within a time limit, whereas with just variables the correct sequence could be done with any time gap between press making it slightly more likely to happen by accident.

You could probably do this with just timers. For a 3 button sequence: When button A is pressed, start Timer 1. When button B is pressed, IF Timer 1 is still running - start Timer 2. When button C is pressed, IF Timer 2 is still running - Open Bedroom Blinds

If the keypad buttons you want to disable just control light loads you could set a schedule to change the preset level for all those loads to 0%, that way the toggle command for the loads on the keypad buttons would only ever switch it between 0 and 0 and never come on. If the keypads were ZigBee then you add a dedicated controller and create a separate mesh just for the keypads you wish to disable, then when you are away, you could programmatically kill power to the controller running the ZigBee mesh for those keypads via a smart plug or controllable PoE outlet. Likewise for the touchscreens, set them all up on WiFi on a dedicated SSID and then create a scheduled on/off for that Wi-Fi SSID.

Another suggested solution: Use a fake hidden room, put all A/V gear and binding to that room, make the "real" room just follow the CURRENT_SELECTED_DEVICE of the fake room with a time-based condition. You room will never turn on within those hours this way, it's a clean solution transparent for the user, without having to cut power on any equipment.

We install UniFi all the time, it's our "go to" brand for networking hardware. We run a hosted controller on AWS servers which operates all out sites. Much easier to manage and more reliable than having a physical device in the rack that cab be unplugged.

As above, Lutron will definitely do what you require. They have a patented hem bar alignment feature which works great as long as you recall scenes or control groups of blinds via the Lutron Controller/Processor’s own scenes/groups and not Control4’s own blind groups. All you then need to do is program Control4 to recall these Lutron scenes and they will all move in unison.

See those fields that say 'Directory Position' and 'Relay 1 User Code' that is what you use. The first useable director position is position 2, as position 1 is used internally by Control4 system. For example, User 1 is Directory Position 2, User 2 is Directory Position 3, and so on...... First change and then set the directory position number you wish to use/alter. Then enter the user code you want to use with that directory position under 'Relay 1 User Code' and then press 'Set' to apply that code to the previously selected directory position.

Go to DS2 driver and and then set 'advanced properties' to 'Show' and then scroll down.

Whilst the 'Watch' 'Listen' etc are not available as programmable commands, as all they really do is enter another menu on the SR250 to show the available source selections, the sources available within the Watch and Listen menus are programmable as actionable commands.

Lots of ways to do this. A solid way to prevent any operations would be to make sure TV is IR controlled from a local EA-1 running its own ZigBee mesh and the SR260 for that room is identified to the local EA-1 for the room. You could then via a schedule kill power to the EA-1 via either an IP controlled power outlet device for standard EA-1 or via a managed PoE switch for a PoE powered EA-1. That way the EA-1 would be offline completely and the SR260 for that room would be non-functional until the EA-1 came back online again.

I’m not certain but would be surprised if it did not work. Even if only the keypad functionality was recognised by the DS2 driver that’s all you would need as the RFID reader would just work internally and normally automatically be configured to operate the built in relay.

You can, but surely any small cost difference between a wireless keypad and a wired one would be wiped out by the cost of having to buy a 48V bus power supply, bus ethernet gateway and a suitable DIN rail enclosure to house it all. Also, you DO NOT want to be running CAT6 cable for the keypads, it is technically possible to use (usually only in retrofit situations where that is all that is there ) but it is not a recommended wiring type.
