  1. Absolutely need at least a CA1. Each room that has a touchscreen needs a simple project to work with MDU.
  2. V1 and V2 are near identical. V3 is where a major change came. Triad is the next change and would be V4?
  3. V3 would be much better than the V2. More granular volume control. iirc, the V2 goes up/down by 3-4% V3 goes up & down by 1%. 25 vs 100 volume points?
  4. I personally have Philips Hue as well as Control4. Philips Hue is nice, but limited as far as what it can do by itself. I started following a lot of DIY forums since I only use and know Control4. It was surprising how complicated and limited DIY is right now. If I did not have Control4, I probably would not even think about having my home automated outside of controlling my Philips Hue lights and using Sonos as a standalone audio system for my music. (I use Triad right now).
  5. Maybe it still is in the API? That Github project looks current. Unless that Github project is using a mix of the old Sonos API and the new Sonos API.
  6. Might be a better route. I don't see anything related to clearing a queue in here: https://musicpartners.sonos.com/?q=docs I see some code to add/delete favorites and remove stuff from a playlist. As well as play all and shuffle all is mentioned, but nothing about replace or clear.
  7. I'm assuming you're not a dealer by asking how to contact C4. In that case, you would contact your dealer.
  8. That's how the Sonos driver implementation works from what I've seen and heard. Best to use two apps since every selection does not clear/replace the queue...
  9. I personally would not hook up two amps to drive the same speakers. I'd look at using a mode on the AVR that will play sound to them while listening to music. Most AVRs have a mode where everything is stereo rather than surround.
  10. Why not skip the V3 and go with Triad? Much better imho.
  11. Only programmable display I know of is the single camera. I don't believe there is a way to go to any page with programming.
  12. Audio outputs can't be renamed iirc. Only the room name can be renamed and it is done in Pro.
  13. But that goes back to the statement that nobody knows why and all statements are pure speculation. The most that can be done now is wonder what will happen in the future with the mix of SnapAV and C4 and how that impacts dealers and customers.
  14. OK, then please give some good reasons why they sold and had such a hard time to find a buyer. Maybe they wanted to? And with how many IoT devices are sold direct to consumers, I'm sure some potential buyers were blinded by the direct IoT model's success and couldn't understand why dealers and professional installers are needed. Installing C4 is a lot more complex than getting an Amazon Echo and adding Philips Hue lights along with Sonos and a FireTV. Or using Apple Homekit, or Google Assistant. Have you also wondered if the potential buyers were listed, but the real reason is that C4 and SnapAV wanted to merge anyways and the others were listed just to be listed?
  15. Is the button set to 'programming' on the DS2 properties. That has thrown me off a few times.
  16. oh, lol, that's why. I use Triad equipment and the C4 Amazon Music integration. If you use Amazon or Sonos devices to provide audio, it is a terrible experience. Better off using the Sonos app or tell Alexa to play something.
  17. You can't access the queue when streaming Amazon Music??? What are you selecting? I have a playlist with all my purchased music and I see everything in the queue and can select any of them in the list. I'm sure there is a good reason why there is no support for Google Play Music. Just a guess, but maybe waiting to figure out what Google is going to end with after merging Youtube Red and Google Play Music.
  18. Next step is checking the Communication Agent in Composer and verifying the intercom functionality. Does it show offline in the intercom list on a T3? Or the Intercom mobile app? I'm not sure if you're a dealer or a homeowner/customer. If so, next part would be talking to your specific dealer.
  19. Is the DS2 powered on? Does it show as online in the communication agent in Composer?
  20. Does the call come through? Just no sound?
  21. Have you tried the controller and the remote outside of the environment? Does it do the same at your dealership/office?
  22. That sounds strange. Does it delay on every source in the Watch list? Mine is fast and fine with a Roku. Are you selecting a channel from the Channels list? What Cable driver?
  23. lol, now this is too much. Betting on the Pro market dying is like thinking computer repair shops would go out of business. And yet there are Apple Stores everywhere where everyone goes to get their devices fixed when they fail... DIY is a fad and will become a dead art just like people fixing furniture and appliances they purchase. Most people specialize and pay specialists when they want something done. Or it gets legislated, like certified electricians and a fine for doing it yourself.
  24. Yep, nothing new that I've seen.
