-defunct- got a reaction from loch in Control4 Composer HE no longer supported?
HE is supported, ME is not.
That being said, no, you cannot manage the network config from HE.

Media meta data is capped at 1000 to begin with so isn't likely to top up the max total (second bar) at all.
Overall storage also includes icons for interfaces, announcement files and is presumably used for snapshot driver storage etc.
You're well within parameters, and I've never been able to force it to max out (including 4500 or so movies, a few thousand CD rips, a dozen or so announcement wave files and bloated custom icon drivers on purpose)

Honestly it's almost more there for dealers to notice if it's high, likely meaning either hardware issues or corruption in the database files

So turning off fast roaming on all 4 APs worked with WPA2-PSK enabled, and even worked in getting the printer on the combined 2.4/5GHz SSID (though I also confirmed that it worked on the 2.4GHz only SSID)
It's too soon to know if turning off fast roaming will effect our everyday wifi usage by our multiple network devices throughout the house
Thanks again for all the help

Absolutely - it's even the recommended method

It's not a DIY system.  Just by the nature of your questions, it's not going to be what you're looking for.

I think that was a stupid question. I guess it’s from the ea-3.

This is the issue for 90%+ of wireless printer connection issues.....
With al these new home offices, we've done numerous in the last year - and EVERY SINGLE ONE where people couldn't get their printer to work/work reliably it was fixed doing nothing else but turning off fast roaming - regardless of network brand.
If fast roaming is important for other daily use, setting up a separate access point in range on it's own ID dedicated for the printer(s) is certainly a good option.

This is where taking a networking basics course is helpful.
Splitting the 2.4ghz and 5ghz is done in the ssid config.
My suggestion is get a better printer because most are cheap crap.

If you're able to get yourself a copy of parallels for the mac, you can either purchase a Composer HE lifetime licence from a dealer (Composer Media Edition is built into it) OR if your Control4 OS is 3.1 or lower, you can download just Composer ME for free.  All the OS's higher than 3.1 no longer offer a standalone Composer ME.  It's only available with Composer HE.
If you need to purchase, I can help you out with that.

The expectation is that the APs are updated too and the entire configuration is done via OvrC.

Tech notes on release stated no rollbacks.

Nobody, not even Control4, can disable TLS1.0/1.1 for the local connections for the current and past OS versions.

If the dealer manages the network, yes, the dealer can create a vlan and isolate the Control4 system.

If not, the dealer needs to work with whoever manages the network to isolate the system.

    Cyknight,
You're right. The cyber team is growing and I don't like taking no as an answer, lol.
I'm sure you likely know how persistent I am.

That's not really fair - you're talking about completely different people/departments working on these things.
C4 HAS been (pro)actively working to increase security and to comply with new standards on security and AFAIK have several dedicated people working on it full-time.

Not to say that I disagree it should be high priority!

Most of that is not going to be able to be on a supported OS version by Control4. The HC300 as a primary controller maxes at 2.5.3.
The latest version is 3.2.1 and would likely need entirely new controllers and touch screens, but the dimmers and switches can be kept.

sigh... If you thought I was trolling, then you obviously missed the point.

If you want to become a dealership who installs Control4 rather than just manage your own home system, then that would be very good to clarify.

I could be wrong here, but the OP of this thread may well be an end user who initially contacted me via FB asking about remote programming and then turned out they were looking for access to Composer License and asking about receiving training from me on how to program the system etc.
I have already given them all the relevant information about it being completely against dealer policy to do so. It is also very likely that the termination of the previous dealer being referred to by the OP was for related reasons.
Anyway, just a heads up for anyone else that @yoho decides to get in touch with.
If any other dealers who have been contacted by the OP and wishes to contact me about this member/user the please feel free to PM me.

B: Well that's good.... hope that was planned. Being involved for a long time, it takes a lot to get "dropped".
A: As Liam Neeson would tell you, Good Luck. That's just not something a lot of integrators are interested in doing for a variety of reasons. IMO only being made available to clients with longer standing relationships or larger committed projects.

Nope. Do you have a new dealer? You can create a new account on your own but you can not re-register your system. You would also not have access to CP Express, thats a pro only app which i'm sure you are aware of. Perhaps this is why he was terminated?

At least what I have seen and heard, the target demographic is not the 'average Joe' as much as many 'average Joes' would like.
